The main call of the set, the auto tilemap, never really worked fine for me. Constant errors, completely unpredictable collision, layers floating around… after a lot of frustration I decided Unity tilemap was waaaay easier to work with.
Still, was pretty happy because I had a nice, fast animation controller, basic AI and most importantly, a movement controller. It was really helpful and easy, and though not with few issues, I carried on.
Then, after deleting some script is that technically had nothing to do with my project, the entire of Unity crashed and not a single thing works anymore. I have tried to start a new project and import the asset clean, but it’s useless: most of the functions are broken, and not even the basic movement works.
It also constantly insist on needing the build, but building is not possible because it’s outdated. I haven’t update between the asset working and not, so I have no idea what the problem is.
Even if not everything worked, what did was useful and I mourn the loss, because it took my entire project down. Hopefully it gets updated at some point with a version that works with the new Unity builds, so I can change my rating.

for versions higher than 2018.x (e.g. 2019.x, 2020.x), the map tiles selecting zone on the inspector will be a blank area. And the animated tiles(e.g. waterfall) did not work properly due to unknown reason. If you are using versions that higher than 2018.x, I don't recommend you to purchase this plugin(instead, I recommend you to check the "rule tile", it allows you to implement auto tiles to unity built-in tilemap as well).
However, this plugin provides a powerful function that you can export well-animated characters by RM-sized character picture. Therefore, if you simply want to use this to deploy animated characters, you can carry on.

To start with, bringing this asset into a project that includes SuperTilemap Editor (created by same vendor) will cause a host of compiler errors that require manually deleting file folders (at time of writing, no warning or instructions provided).
More significantly, all the parts of this asset are so deeply coupled that it is not worthwhile to try to use one or two parts you need without bringing in everything else. It further requires you to follow very specific process for how everything else in your project is constructed (e.g. how maps are created, how spritesheets are designed, etc). So if you are midway through a project and want to pull in a few of the advertised features to save time, I do not recommend purchasing this.
If, however, you are starting a new project and want a template to build from without having to start from scratch, this asset has an impresively comprehensive feature set and generally good UI.

There is a txt with the source of all the assets contained in each folder and none of them are taken from RPG Maker.
I added a note in the asset cover image about that.
If you think that any asset in the folder shouldn't be there, please let me now and I will revise it.

This pack is incredibly useful and complete for its price. I wanted to create a fast and simple RPG and I was fearful on how to implement every single aspect of it. Thankfully, this asset made it for me.

It's way more than just a map editor, coming with all sorts of awesome features (e.g player controller, a sprite animation system, fog of war and etc.) It also give a strong RPG Maker vibe for anyone who want's something like it it.
However, if you have a very specific idea or need lots of flexibility, your better of with Super Tilemap Editor (which is also cheaper). Code is hard to untangle if you need to change something. Documentation could also use more so that it would be easier to build off of existing features (especially with npcs since, while they provide a nice base to work off of, they're not enough for a game on their own).
I got this awhile back on sale, but later realized Super Tilemap Editor was way better suited for what I needed (even if lacked many of RPG Map Editors features).

I will take your suggestions into account to improve RPG Map Editor.
I have the personal version of Unity. I found learning it very challenging. This product helped a lot. The tutorials do work if you follow them very carefully. It will have you doing some clever things you may not think possible without being good at code. Hope they come up with more stuff like this. Its worth the money.
