Realized I never left a review. Bang for buck, this asset is an excellent deal and includes basically everything you need to jumpstart making an RPG in Game Creator 2. I haven't messed with it much yet, but looking over all the stuff included and after watching the videos on it, I'm super excited to dive in once I am ready to make an RPG. The boss behaviors is what I am most excited about cracking open, but there is a lot of other very useful things in here too. As always, a pleasure to get my hands on one of RVRs assets. His workflow is always very clean and efficient, which makes his tutorials so easy to follow. And this is like you basically have the end result of an RVR tutorial, ready to add to your project. I absolutely love the GC2 community and all the stuff they come up with! If you have a ton of GC2 third party modules and all the main modules, you have a superior advantage over other developers. And my leg up gets stronger with each one I get.

I deleted my previous negative review where I complained about the lack of tutorials, because the author listened to the feedback and released a detailed breakdown on his YouTube channel. It’s focused on the TPS template, but since it’s similar to the RPG template, I was able to understand everything a bit better. I’m glad the author is so attentive to user feedback! As for the template itself, I would strongly recommend it. The author provides many pre-built mechanics that can significantly simplify the game development process. The only major drawback for now is the extremely scarce documentation. But considering how actively the author supports his product, I think this issue will be fixed in the near future. Five stars — well deserved.

Bought this asset to save a bit of time and I have to say it is great. I did run into an issue with a fresh install but it was something I overlooked in the documentation and was soon pointed in the right direction in the Discord support within minutes of asking. I missed the 'Update Scripts' installer in the package. Will be taking a look at the car controller next.

This asset is amazing to get rolling with your game in an instant. It allows you to focus on the gameplay rather than building the systems to support you. While it is targeted as a base for an RPG it also allows to easily just take parts and use it for other types of games. Its a great basis for using for GameJams (when it is allowed) to get started on a solid foundation. The support is fast and super helpful. Thanks for creating this awesome asset!
