I followed the steps in the PDF that comes with this asset for setting up the proc gen dungeon toolkit. The documentation and asset itself all look nice. However, it was a little confusing following the PDF/guide, since it was many pages of documentation that you have to carefully follow. Although I did get it "working", it was extremely slow to the extent of being unusable for me. I tried to get a refund through the store but they claim everything works for them so that wasn't an option. If you are looking for a quick plug and play type proc gen dungeon toolkit I would advise against this one since it takes so long to get working and then to subsequently debug the 5 FPS you might get like me. I tried another toolkit that worked much better for about $20 cheaper at the time of this writing, I highly recommend it instead as it was simple to follow and drag and drop prefabs; I was quickly able to use this toolkit instead for what I needed:

We really love the utilities from this dev, and Infinite Terrain Generator for it's simplicity, and back compatibility, but this now with the Dungeon Toolkit tool here - It currently seems to be limited to only 2018+ versions, for this otherwise great asset. From 5 to 4 stars, for our vote, from the simple reason of back compatibility missing. Would be such a pleasure to give it back 5 stars, once the tool can be (again) imported some day in 2017, and earlier versions, as well. Till than - we can only call this strict 2018+ only limitation - a disappointment to us, at the moment, with our thanks for the kind dev's reply with the honest explanation as to why exactly this is currently the case. We hope the dev's very busy time can allow some time in the future to address the issue. Remaining the fans of the Revision3 works, we can't wait to see what's coming next on the store.

I'm sorry you feel the version required to use the asset is a limitation, but since Unity changed many things from 2017 to 2018 and because we should now be using 2019, it makes it unworthy for me to keep supporting earlier versions in the long run when my assets require usage of feature only present in newer versions of the editor. I am a solo developer working on many different assets so it would become a massive setback for me to not only be the main new feature developer but also build and support dozens of different editor version packages for each of my assets when not many users would even use those versions to begin with. I realize bigger asset developers often do support earlier version of Unity, sadly I simply cannot afford to do it right now.
I hope you understand. Please be sure to send me a support email if you have issues trying to bring existing project files into a version of Unity that works with the asset, I'll be happy to help you out!

Just started with it, but have basic dynamic dungeon creation working. Impressed with all the options! Manual can be a little confusing at times and many of the videos have no narration to explain, but the author is always quick to respond to questions.

This asset is very good.
Many assets are not updated after being published, but this asset is different.
The author is always thinking about making this asset better, and it continues to be updated after publishing.
He also responds quickly and carefully to questions and bugs.
There are some parts that should still be improved, but we can expect in the future.
As I am Japanese, I can not understand the whole document, but I think it would be very fun if I could use this asset.
It is recommended.

This asset meets the majority of my needs and then some. it can be used for a top down game or a wizardry clone or anything that requires a randomly generated dungeon or even if you want to use it as a dungeon maker instead of creating them randomly. You can work from a seed too.
There are so many options and the author appears to genuinely want to make the product better based off of feedback. got the package, pointed out a problem I was having and he instantly offered an early update to that script with some extra feature we had talked about putting in the official update.
Great and powerful asset, great price, great author. Well worth the money.

Quite easy to setup, as an amateur indie game developer, this will work well integrating to my FPS adventure game. The Documentation is good but I would like some additional documentation, mostly around Class Diagrams so I can add additional scripts and these class diagrams might help to connect the dots.
Overall, it does the job

This is a fantastic asset with a lot of potential ahead of it. The developer is very active and is very responsive to support questions sent via email. I had some questions about the asset and the developer responded within a few hours.
There are a lot of examples already included in the asset for the non-programmer (prefab based generation, doors, keys), and if you do know programming, then it's very easy to modify and tinker with the scripts to get what you need.
Overall for the price, fantastic support, and amount of content you're getting, I say this is well worth it if you're looking for a quick and easy tile-based dungeon generator.
