I want to publish a fps multi and obviously but despite AI no starting from scratch. Itch dot eye oo is good though. So this. Please never take it off shelves. Something similar on UE5 Fab went down before I could build. Not saying anything against Unity, there is also Gumroad. Fantastic. Keep it up. *looks hauntingly at metaverse industry*

Powerful, complete FPS toolkit with outstanding support — highly recommended

NEOFPS is a very complete and professional FPS framework — feature-rich and capable of powering serious projects. It has a steep learning curve and isn’t the easiest asset to master, but once understood it’s extremely robust. Support is excellent: bugs are fixed quickly and the developer even shares code fixes directly on Discord when needed. Lately response times have been a bit slower, but the quality of help remains high and issues are resolved. I can only recommend this asset 100%. (AlexXx)

I am not fully explored the assets of this. Usually I would like to fully explore something before writing a review but I think that would take a long time and it already deserves 5 stars so just going to give it that.
This FPS kit is a great starting place. You import it into your project and you can have stuff ready to go very quick. Check out the demos and read the documentation. Its almost like a very rich framework for an FPS. I am just starting out game development and am new to Unity. I can look at how they did things and really learn. I can reuse what they did. I can customize.
And then there is just the community and support. I went to the discord and was greeted by the creator themselves. They have talked to me directly to support me when needed (sometimes not even needed, they just actively talk to you even just for casual sake). I mean im talking to them about my cats or anything but you know.

Input errors in fresh project import

There are compiler errors in newer versions of Unity 6.0 regarding the input system. Errors that do not allow for progression through any of the scene.

Hi there. In the latest release (22nd July) I've added extra checks on start which will warn you about the input setup, along with some helper behaviours to prevent the error spam. Those should help direct you to the correct docs and steps to resolve the issue.
In version 6.1+ of the editor, Unity have changed the new project templates so that they now use the input system only instead of both. NeoFPS uses the input manager for its demos and provides an extension package you can install for the input system. Unfortunately I cannot automate this process without some major architectural changes, or switch to the input system for neo's demos as both those options would breaks existing projects and potentially affect hundreds of people. I have rewritten neo's input systems for the upcoming 1.2 major upgrade, which resolves these issues, but until that point it will unfortunately require some additional setup steps from the user.
For a simple fix, you can also just switch the input handler in Player Settings back to "Both".

The best single-player FPS controller asset in the store. Period. It doesn't matter if you are talking about a great and complete feature set, a very, and I mean very, good codebase, great extensibility, or one of the best and most active developers with a great Discord community—you just can't go wrong with Neo.

I have used dozens of templates and packs over the years, and NeoFPS has consistently been the best. Everything is handled in such detail, and implemented so cleverly and intuitively. Support is out of this world too. There are no downsides to using Neo, if you are making a FPS game, this should be your first choice.

It's highly modular and extensible, without being overly-architected- a fine line that's difficult to walk. It's well documented and you can easily reason what the code itself does without having to jump through a dozen abstractions or inheritance trees to find actual game logic.
Really comprehensive and feature rich asset, with more on the way. Makes most assets on the store look like a joke by comparison.
