Most of AVG questions solved with naninovel. worth to buy!!

Got Naninovel back in 2021. It was great back then, never had any issues what so ever. You just created a new project and installed it. Everything worked. Visual studio code plugin was great! Then I decided to start a new project. Got the latest version of Unity LTS. Naninovel 1.21. Installed Naninovel. But it didn't start. After multiple installs. I got it working by removing the library folder after install. Then it was problems with script paths not finding scripts at times. And then it stopped working all together. Got to the title screen. Error: Failed to load 'Default' resource of type 'UnityEngine.GameObject': make sure the resource is registered with a resource provider. I tried switching back to 1.20 but still the same error keeps happening after a few hours of use. Then I can't get it working again. I have only seen the problem on the new unity versioning system. 6000.*.* Not in my old projects. 2021.*.* 2023.*.* Also the Visual Studio Code Extension upgrade seems to have removed a lot of features. Not sure if I am missing something. Before you could ctrl + click to jump to labels and scripts. Comments were not a gray color. It underlined in yellow when labels were not in use. You could hover over command to get a summary of how to use it. Right now It feels like you are just trying to fix errors with the engine more than you actually creating. So in this state I can't really recommend Naninovel anymore.

機能は使いやすいし再生も速い。慣れていなくても簡単にシナリオが作れるぐらい優れている。 英語のドキュメントはあり日本語翻訳すれば理解できる。ただUIを色々いじったりUnityの機能と連携しようと思うと頭を悩ませる。初心者向けの動画があるといいのだが... さらに最新版を使おうとなるとDiscord、GitHub認証に戸惑うと思う。 だが、それを乗り越えたらNaniNovelは最高のツールになるだろう

I've been working with Naninovel for a few years. It's well made and the creator is very fast to answer questions. Recently bought it again to stay on the support plan because it's entirely worth it.

It is great but it is very hard to learn from documentation. any plan for tutorial videos? coz some of them outdated it looks. thanks in advnce

I do not totally understand scripting, but this asset along with the tools on the website really made it easy. I am having fun with a new visual novel. Thank you for all of your tutorials that go hand in hand with this amazing product! ~Robby

I used it a few years ago, so I’m not familiar with the latest version, but I still think this is the best asset for creating visual novels. It has all the features you could possibly need. It was also helpful that it supports integration with Spine. However, if you just want to extract and use it as a dialogue asset for other genres of games, it tends to be a bit too dominant over the project. I think it would be great if it had a feature that allows for easy separation and use as a simple dialogue asset, or if there were a lite version available.

It's easy to pick up and start making narrative games. It can range from extremely simple to deeply complex with all the amazing number of features packed into this one framework.

The 1.20 version was stable, but the developer keeps prioritizing new features. Many users are asking for better add-ons or documentation updates, yet the focus is on adding improvements—useful, perhaps, but not essential. Following the developer's own suggestion, I tried to upgrade to the latest 1.21 version, but all my commands broke. It's not as easy as they claim, as the API has changed drastically. Overall, it's a good tool and a good developer, but wrong focused.
