機能は使いやすいし再生も速い。慣れていなくても簡単にシナリオが作れるぐらい優れている。
英語のドキュメントはあり日本語翻訳すれば理解できる。ただUIを色々いじったりUnityの機能と連携しようと思うと頭を悩ませる。初心者向けの動画があるといいのだが...
さらに最新版を使おうとなるとDiscord、GitHub認証に戸惑うと思う。
だが、それを乗り越えたらNaniNovelは最高のツールになるだろう

また、初心者向けの動画チュートリアルが不足している点については、私たちも課題として認識しています。現在、新しい「Getting Started」動画を制作中で、初めての方にも分かりやすく始めていただける内容になる予定です。

I've been working with Naninovel for a few years. It's well made and the creator is very fast to answer questions. Recently bought it again to stay on the support plan because it's entirely worth it.

Outdated Video Tuts

It is great but it is very hard to learn from documentation. any plan for tutorial videos? coz some of them outdated it looks. thanks in advnce

I do not totally understand scripting, but this asset along with the tools on the website really made it easy. I am having fun with a new visual novel. Thank you for all of your tutorials that go hand in hand with this amazing product!

I used it a few years ago, so I’m not familiar with the latest version, but I still think this is the best asset for creating visual novels.
It has all the features you could possibly need.
It was also helpful that it supports integration with Spine.
However, if you just want to extract and use it as a dialogue asset for other genres of games, it tends to be a bit too dominant over the project.
I think it would be great if it had a feature that allows for easy separation and use as a simple dialogue asset, or if there were a lite version available.

The 1.20 version was stable, but the developer keeps prioritizing new features. Many users are asking for better add-ons or documentation updates, yet the focus is on adding improvements—useful, perhaps, but not essential. Following the developer's own suggestion, I tried to upgrade to the latest 1.21 version, but all my commands broke. It's not as easy as they claim, as the API has changed drastically. Overall, it's a good tool and a good developer, but wrong focused.

Sorry to hear you had trouble upgrading to the current pre-release. We didn't receive any support requests from you about this, so please feel free to reach out — we'll be happy to help you upgrade your project. For custom commands specifically, upgrading is as simple as changing the parameter type from `AsyncToken` to `ExecutionContext`.
Please understand that each new major release may introduce breaking changes — that's the trade-off for continued improvement. Upgrade instructions for each version are detailed in the changelog; for version 1.21, you can find them here: https://pre.naninovel.com/releases/1.21#upgrade-guide
Regarding "users asking for better add-ons or documentation updates" — I'm not sure what specifically you're referring to, but if you believe something is missing or could be improved, please let us know on Discord and we'll look into it.
By the way, we've recently added the message limit feature you requested for the chat printer — I hope you'll find it useful. If you have other feature ideas, don't hesitate to share them with us on Discord.

One stop shop for all visual novel needs (or just a dialogue system)

The asset is really well written, easy to use and comprehensive, while allowing you to replace or customize parts.
Was really easy to make it work exactly how I wanted and the scripting language has an insane depth of what can be achieved without extending it.
Really good API documentation and examples. Covers just about everything you need to get started and customize the behavior.
