I played around with this for a couple hours (and also watched the tutorials + read the documentation) and... it's certainly not full plug and play, but it works. There's a comment on here where they found errors and used a pretty solid work-a-round for it. If your install of this asset doesn't work as intended, look that up (as well as the tutorials)

Fun and great learning experience

ProjectMonkfishStudioson version 1.17
I've enjoyed playing with this asset as a new dev. This along with their splines asset are great plug and play solution for game jam level projects and experience. At least that's what I'm attempting to use it for.. Seems like this studio ran into some rough times but their now freely listed tools and the surrounding documentation have me hoping whatever team remains will keep creating quality tools and games.

I don't think its fair to call this dope asset broken and blame it all on the developer when Unity shares some of that blame. I've been working with the engine for years and it's hard for developers to keep up with the constant version changes.
Out of the box, the asset may not work with Unity 6. I've been using this asset with previous version of Unity just fine but once I upgraded my project to Unity 6 I saw the errors. But once I investigated the errors:
[Physics.PhysX] computeMassAndInertia: Dynamic actor with illegal collision shapes
UnityEngine.GameObject:SetActive (bool)
Dreamteck.Forever.LevelGenerator/<InitializeSegmentRoutine>d__170:MoveNext () (at Assets/Dreamteck/Forever/Level Generator/LevelGenerator.cs:1081)
UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext (System.Collections.IEnumerator,intptr)
[Physics.PhysX] PxRigidBodyExt::setMassAndUpdateInertia: Mass and inertia computation failed, setting mass to 1 and inertia to (1,1,1)
UnityEngine.GameObject:SetActive (bool)
Dreamteck.Forever.LevelGenerator/<InitializeSegmentRoutine>d__170:MoveNext () (at Assets/Dreamteck/Forever/Level Generator/LevelGenerator.cs:1081)
UnityEngine.SetupCoroutine:InvokeMoveNext (System.Collections.IEnumerator,intptr)
It turns out the simple fix was going to the Rigidbody component on each on of my Level Segments and turning off the Automatic Center of Mass, Automatic Tensor, and Use Gravity. And just turning on isKinematic. When upgrading to Unity 6, the engine automatically had all of those settings enabled, thus causing the error I was receiving.
Yes, I was one of the many who purchased this asset years ago, but it's doesn't bother me that they've made it free. I find it sad when new devs poo poo on a FREE asset that they themselves could NEVER put together and call it Abandonware.
There's a perfectly legitimate reason the Devs made it free and are not actively working on it.
Yes I agree documentation is hard to get through, but I've been using the asset for awhile now, so I understand how it works. And I can confirm that I have it running in Unity 6.

Really awesome

Someone called it "Abandonware".. but oh look it's a new release! I don't mind that it's free now, I'm happy I've supported this awesome developer in some way. Really glad to see updates. Regardless of what is being monetarily charged, there is a huge value in this asset.

Abandonware software BEWARE, and not working in latest version of Unity (Unity 6)
Codegit_09on previous version 1.16
I bought both their packages years ago and paid full price, only to find that both products are now FREE and abandoned. I get ripped off on the Unity store all the time, the practice of doing a money grab and then letting software with bugs just shut down is VERY irritating. I have been trying for 3 days to make this spaghetti software work. It will tell you that there is an issue with terrain colliders and thats it GAME OVER. I went to their discord server and somebody asked how to fix this issue, he was ignored. PLEASE please Unity remove this crap it does NOT work anymore and has been abandoned.

Tutorial is essential for use of this packege.

BuffaloSpiriton previous version 1.16
The tutorial is practically required. Without it this package is very hard to use. With it things get so easy all of a sudden... I wish I found the tutorial earlier.

Edited Review:
Consistency: Without tutorial: 0/5. With tutorial: 5/5.
User friendliness: Without tutorial: 0/5. With tutorial: 3/5.
Usage experience: Without tutorial: 0/5. With tutorial: 3/5.
Documentation: 0/5; very lacking. (Especially the notes that pop out when hovering options). Tutorial makes up for it a bit, so 1/5 with the tutorial.
Overall build quality: 5/5.
Overall: 4/5. The reliance on the tutorial is very heavy. Documentation is an essential things that just isn't there.
Missing feature: There is one thing I find is missing; the option of 'splitting' a path, so the player would have to pick a path.
