Wonderful asset! So many systems and no code solutions! It makes creating games solo or in a small team feel much less overwhelming. The PDF manual is great and very thorough! So good that I don't think it's even necessary to look at the tutorials at all. The dev is helpful and responsive. The price is unbelieveably good considering everything that the asset offers. The asset is great for adventure and point and click games but you can use its visual scripting to create almost any type of game really. I would love to see an examine system with object rotation and inspection added in future updates as it feels like it's the only thing missing to make it a 100% complete adventure game toolkit. Still, it's one of the best assets on the store and I highly recommend it!

Best $80 I ever spent in games! It saves a huge amount of time since the adventure genre is so well defined. It's a joy to not have to deal with boilerplate and to be able to focus on the important part - in other words the game itself.

We are an award-winning indie game studio with multiple, successful shipped titles under our belt. We decided to use AC for our next commercial game, so that both technical and nontechnical people could collaborate in Unity together on the project. It has been absolutely phenomenal in that regard. For the less-technical/non-technical people on the project, the asset makes it easy for us to edit dialogue, implement simple logic within scenes, create new scenes/NPCs/object interactions, and add music/SFX. A solo dev with zero technical experience could easily ship a beautiful, polished game using AC! And, if you are more technical, it's super-modular in terms of supporting custom code, UI, and mechanics. We've been able to make a game that is way more than just a point-and-click, but something very expensive that involves crafting, card play, Golden Idol-inspired drag-and-drop puzzle stuff, and other bespoke puzzles that are too esoteric to describe for the scope of this review. AC makes it easy for folks with advanced knowledge of Unity to do what they need to do easily. All the engineers on our team working on the project have been fans. The documentation and support is PHENOMENAL. I would say that this asset is ideal for the following groups: beginnings of Unity, lovers of traditional adventure games, and teams where you want EVERYONE comfortable contributing to Unity, regardless of technical proficiency. Without AC, we'd be much less far along than we are now, and AC has enabled us to put together a game that everyone loves working on, and that players love playing. Thank you, AC!

It's more limited than I thought it would be, which seems it needs odd workarounds more often than I'd like. It has good documentation, but the community seems quite inactive compared to what it was once like. For this price point, I think it's better to search for an alternative tool that might be more active and flexible. However, this still seems like a good option for those who want to create adventure games with simple gameplay.

Adventure Creator helps newbies get started! It makes me want to learn more about game development.

I worked with various other "engine" and "creator" assets in 10+ years of development in Unity. Many of those I would still give 5 stars to, but this is on another level. It takes most of the tedious tasks from creating a point-and-click adventure and lets you do creative work. It took a week to completely get used to, but then it became a complete joy to use. I bought it for a hobby project of mine - and it feels like a hobby. Most of the time i feel like i am modding an existing game, with the option to just jump into Unity and add those crazy bespoke ideas I want in my game. The support forums are a trove of information, and documentation is comprehensive to the point where if you point ChatGPT or Claude to it, you can solve 99% of issues just by asking. I have bought 303 assets so far. This is easily top 5, and by far the best creator/engine asset in my inventory.

The tool is powerful, and has thought of everything for you. There is a learning curve, and if you're new to Unity that will form part of the learning. That said, I got more knowledge using the Adventure Creator guides than any Unity guides because they were tailored to adventure games (click to use, inspect, add to inventory, and the ability to set objectives and have conversations etc.). There is a premade FPS camera that's been invaluable as well. If you're on the fence, read the author's responses to reviews. He is so genuine and helpful, access to his advice alone would be worth it.

I bought this asset a while ago, but I'm currently starting to use it. It makes life easier, simple to use, so many details about what you can do, UI already set, animations too, check out the downloads at the website are also quite good, the youtube tutorials are a not updated yet still many excercises work really good. I got this asset some time ago, and its still the gift of giving, well worth every penny, the usage can be simple or complex depends on how you want it to be, but making adventures games with this asset is endless, i am currently making an FPS adventure hack n slash with point and click features using this asset. and i am very much planning to make my own traditional point n click game as well.
