Amazing Camera Asset!

Really good value for your money! I almost wish that input settings were a bit easier to manage, however. Like if there was a separate component for handling WASD- and Joystick-input rather than the one found in the demo which you have to customize by code rather than just change the settings in the component. It's a minor complaint but it bothered me because it wasn't that obvious to me that there even was built-in WASD-movement and so I was looking around for it for some time. That makes controller input seem like an afterthought rather than a main feature. It works really well, however, so I don't see why there shouldn't be a more official script for it among the main scripts rather than just a demo script that you have to change by code. As it is, you have to do some of the heavy lifting yourself when it comes to other controls which is strange because it's so easy to change key bindings for mouse buttons in the main components. I think that's also why it's getting some negative reviews and why some people think it isn't as easy to customize or extend (note that several of those reviews are several years old and that there's been a lot of updates since then).
So yeah, I guess my main complaint is how the asset chooses to present itself because it's such an amazing camera controller that's actually the best one I've found and it's so much more than just a "touch camera". The developer could easily just change the description and name to something like "Awesome All-Purpose Camera" or something and still not lie because there's so many great functionalities here, just give some more love to controls and input actions.
I also want to add that it's very easy to use for visual scripters like me and if you want to move the camera somewhere smoothly, you can do that very easily without having to make your own custom solution!
It's an easy 5/5 for me, amazing value for your money! I'm just hoping that custom WASD- and controller input will get some updates in the future and that it will be easier to change input bindings, etc.

Only works for limited scenarios

The good - Includes Input System event touch handlers for Pinch, Zoom, and Translate - these are complex and I was able to extract and use that code.
The not so good - This seems to have been specifically designed for what I imagine are architectural projects - strictly moving parallel to the ground, calculating movement by raycasting and using real world space. This makes the camera controller movement framework extremely complex, finicky, and opaque. I ended up having to write my own camera position controller, which only took an hour or two, and was much more reliable and simple - just using the screen position delta to adjust camera position in a natural way. I'm sure this developer could create an additional class that does this - I'm not sure why that's not included. That would provide a less restrictive option for users who want to freely move the camera in free space.
(I did spend 2 unsuccessful days trying to get the existing CameraFree and CameraPerspective classes to work)
One other hint for other developers - camera rotation can be handled in many scenarios by this built-in Unity code - camera.transform.LookAt(Vector3 worldPosition, Vector3 worldUp)

If you need to do anything outside of the functionality of the plugin you won't be able to there's no practical API that I seen any access to, I wasn't able to inject any camera shake or customization on the camera itself OR any control customization. While I did speak with the developer about these issues; I don't think anything will be updated. Also the documentation is lacking in terms of what you can actually do and how to do it. I had to read the code, it's not a plug and play solution.
The editor scripting / interface could use some work and I've found a few bugs.

Many features, not so clear, some bugs

This seems to be the most comprehensive Camera controller.
I am using it now for an urgent project and finding some bugs:
- camera reset only works if zoom has been changed (i need this fixed asap!!!)
- mouse zoom has a differente behaviour from touch pinch zoom (it moves the camera also when reaching boundaries)
Some improvements:
- no URP materials, that is just a hassle but not so good looking when installed
- Documentation is not so clear
I wrote on the support forum and i am waiting for a reply.

It does what it promises

Some missing things like URP Support for materials and shaders used, however the author personally sent me what I requested and I believe that he will update the package with that too.
The Author is quick to respond and very helpful.

For those who know analytic (coordinate) geometry understand the difficulty of developing an asset like this. It works perfectly and is easy to set up.
