This is my personal experience with WiseFeline and below are my own opinions based on a few days of use and trying alternatives. I started out wanting to see how others have gone about building a Utility AI framework (also because I didn't have the mental aptitude to try and build my own) and liked the professional manner this framework is laid out, good documentation, fast and detailed response on Discord, and generally intuitive to add and assign actions and considerations etc After a while I began to wonder if how WiseFeline is structured is the optimum way so finally decided to try and build my own from the ground up..... 2 months later and I am realizing that I have spent a lot of time building the same boilerplate code as WF, which is good for learning but using up too much time which I frankly do not have.... So here I am back with WiseFeline and hopefully can build something fun and basic in a few months time.

TL;DR: Worthwhile investment and solid utility AI library that I'm using as the backbone of my game. If you're on the fence, try the free version first. Firstly, for newcomers to utility theory, I recommend Dave Mark's talk on Infinite Axis Utility AI to understand the core concepts used in this library. After researching and experimenting with other AI systems (FSMs, behavior trees), I chose utility AI for its flexibility and potential for emergent gameplay. My game lives and dies by its AI logic and interactions between AI agents, so I needed a system that would make ally/enemy behavior more fluid, lifelike, and mimic "thinking" on its own without me having to script out every single piece of logic. I like this library's implementation of utility theory so far! It's intuitive, and it has become very quick for me to reuse the building blocks of Actions and Considerations to easily add new behavior for vastly different agents, and to see in the debug panel exactly how the AI arrived at its decision. It also seems performant -- I have hundreds of agents each doing their own thing, and have not had issues (turns out that pathfinding is the bottleneck instead!). In terms of support, I appreciate the ongoing updates, extensive documentation, and the dev's responsiveness. I posted a question on Discord at 11 PM and got an answer two minutes later.

So far it is very cool, but I've used it for only a few hours, and I'm still learning all the features and how to use it. No errors upon installing, and that's rare nowadays, so this bodes well.

Very intuitive and easy to use, fits perfect for my project. Definitely the best utility AI solution i have tried. The dev is very helpful and there's a nice support on discord in case you have any questions!

If you're looking for a decent implementation of the Infinite Axis Utility System (IAUS), look no further. This asset lets you design and author AI using the same techniques you would find in some big studios. It is perfect for designing AI that is highly responsive and capable of reacting dynamically to a large number of scenarios without having to 'hard code' every possible edge case. This is an advanced tool for those serious about designing AI behaviors from scratch, and you will need to extend the base Actions and Considerations using code to fully take advantage of this tool. The code is clean, well-documented, performant, and pretty much free of bugs. The developers literally respond in minutes whenever I have questions on Discord. The development is very active, and the asset just keeps getting better and better. Would buy again.

Great asset for creating Utility AI systems which aren't present much of the Asset Store. Have a lot of features. Active development, I see a lot of updates :) Very helpful and nice support via discord.

I really enjoyed this package, it's easy to use and the user interface / debugger communicates how the utility ai system is working at any given moment. This will save you weeks of rolling your own utility ai system and especially UI / debugging tools in unity. Working with the developers is a great experience as well, highly recommend anything from them!
