I now saw and read the many 1 star reviews.
I currently have no issues applying this asset. Perhaps I fixed some bugs myself years ago; it currently is in use for 7 years in my project and still works in Unity 2023.1.
I am not aware of a different asset for the purpose of letting as user play his own MP3s. AAC support would be nice.
Now thinking, Unity uses .NET C#. Microsoft might have an API ready to play audio files. One can use "any" C# .NET API Microsoft offers in Unity too and is not restricted to Unitys Classes!

Still works great when using Unity 5.6.7!!

We have some legacy projects that still use Unity 5.6.7 and this plugin worked like a charm right out of the box. It gave us a solution to be able to play mp3s downloaded at runtime. Also worked fine in a build.
Have not tried it in newer Unity versions but for our needs it was perfect. A+

I was very hopeful when I bought this asset, but it does not work as described, or even really work.
I am getting errors in their own asset scene when I press the play button.

Nothing really work for me. The streaming not work, even a simple play from this plugin not work. In the end, I made my own code. The source is a mess, really hard to edit even to know what's going on. I also asked the dev when I bought it but doesn't got any response until now.
