This asset is amazing, if you want to make rhythm game, it is really a great help! I am new in game development and I like rhythm game very much. This asset help me to build a rhythm game is a short time.
It is really so simple, just draw and edit your events in the Koreography editor, then let the unity do the korresponding task. If you have an midi file, just import the midi file with the corresponding track, the events will automatically created.
I want to especially thanks for the Koreographer developer Eric, he supports me really in every detail and patiently explained me how it works!

This turned out to be way better than expected. If you have any grasp on DAWs or MIDI sequencing software then you’ll immediately see 100 ways to use this asset. Using curve payloads feels just like writing track automation but with one of my game objects as the target.

I've been working with Koreographer for the past 3 months on a rhythm game, and it's simply amazing.
I'm able to save a ton of development time, and once it's setup, it just works. It's a robust tool, that allows you to do almost everything with the public facing methods and property, and the ability to do custom payload makes it immensely valuable
I must mention the awesome support I received over those 3 months. It's a real pleasure to interact with passionate persons, that are always willing to help, and followup with you. I'm still not sure if they are human or if it's a super advanced AI. Seriously, it's that great.
10/10, would Koreograph again

I've been using Koreographer for several years now and not only is it extremely useful for driving all your events and effects, but it is extremely well-supported by the developer. I can't recommend it highly enough. You can see some of what is possible with it in the latest songs in our VR dance game Audio Trip.

You've already read the other reviews, you already know how great of an asset this is.
However, there is one aspect that you should note - the top-notch, incredible support.
I may have purchased Koreographer a couple of years ago, but still, even to this day, Sonic Bloom provides some of the best support I have ever experienced. Eric is always willing to help out his customers and replies with thoughtful, prompt, and helpful answers. For how much you pay, this kind of support is out of this world. That is more than I can say for some companies that will ghost you shortly after buying their products.
I have 100% confidence in Sonic Bloom and Koreographer and look forward to what they put out in the future.

This asset surely gives you a good push when aligning events to audio!
What however really stood out to me was the phenomonal technical support I recieved.
It's unlike any other technical support mails I recieved so far and shows that the developer si concerned with taking care of his customers.
+ I feel like the plugin is not a dead asset, that was once created, but rather continually being worked on.
Big compliment!

Excellent Asset for Audio Work!

Playing a sound in Unity is easy. But the second you have to play something precise and synchronize it with another audio track and other events, the headaches increase exponentially.
This is where Koreographer (pro) comes in. It makes it easy to create music and musical effects in Unity. It shaves off many hours of coding and investigating dead end solutions. It bridges the gap between Unity gaming and sound sampling and makes it easy to setup, sync and play your music as you wish it to be played inside the game. It's especially useful for synchronizing many audio tracks, inspecting an audio loop and creating events based on it and just dealing with audio that has specific playback requirements.
For us, this was a huge benefit as it let us concentrate on other areas of the game instead of being stuck on audio.
Also, the developer is active and helps out on the forums which is always a ++. We had some issues which were quickly solved.

this tool is really good, it allows you to do what you want based on the rythm of any kind music, pretty cool !
why not 5 stars ?
If you espect this to do everything automatically, you'll miss something. you can try to analyze the song with differents parameters, it's not very clear what you obtain and why this is disposed like it is. Then you'll have to manually set the events tempo by yourself and separe manually bass, rythm, voices or anything you can fund on the music.
But the tool is still good if you are ready to add more work to your project
Quality needs works !

We agree that creating a rhythm game with manual markup is very challenging. We have been investigating automatic event generation via analysis algorithms for years but have yet to find something that works well enough to include. Automatic event generation is a very tough (and currently unsolved) problem.
To help developers cut down the time spent marking up Rhythm Game Events, we built the MIDI Converter. The musicians you work with likely used a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) to create the music in your game. It is highly likely that they could export a MIDI file containing all of the pertinent events for instruments that you are trying to track. Alternatively, you or your musician may be more comfortable generating music-based events in a DAW, rather than the Koreography Editor. In this case, you can leverage the power of the DAW and any analysis tools that they might provide to create a MIDI track.
For either of the above scenarios, the MIDI Converter that we provide can be used to instantly convert the MIDI music event information into Koreography Events that can drive gameplay, animations, etc. in Unity. We highly recommend the MIDI Converter for people who do lots of music-based markup (especially Rhythm Game "charting").
