I bought it almost as soon as the device was released (if I remember correctly). Then, unfortunately, I didn't use it for years, but now I've brought it out because I'm making the sounds in my project. An undeservedly forgotten and overlooked tool! For most indie game makers, an add-on like this would certainly add a lot to their games. I can quite safely say that although it may have its shortcomings, it is still easy to use and quite reliable. Even now, when I use it in Unity 6. It really deserves five stars.

I've worked with Ambient Sounds for quite some time across a few projects and other than some small annoyances, like the occasional loud crackling noise when loading a heavy scene and some other slight annoyances in the workflow, it works well. The asset sadly hasn't been updated this year so far. There's no new version in sight like an ambient sound 2024 either. It would be great to get spline area support so that we could play sounds inside of a Unity spline like competitor tools on the AS let you do it now, play audio alongside splines for rivers and streams, as well as some global sound features - eg. play a global sound effect from to a minimum to a maximum global height (eg. an underwater effect). I would elevate happily to 5 stars if the asset still shows it has some growth left in it.

This is a good system for easily setting up interactive sounds for your level and have the sound react to where you are, what you are doing and what is happening. It also comes with a nice little selection of music & sound assets :)

Really amazing asset if you want to add music or songs to your game. Hardly any work at all. 10/5 would buy again.

It helps to have full control over sounds in the project in an easy and straightforward way. Easy to learn and use.

A must have for your projects out there. P.s. if you guys want to add custom audio/sound.. Open soundscapes menadzer in your scene, scroll down to sequences, show all sequences then just drag your sound from assets window on to add new sequence bar..

I been searching for exactly this. A way of creating zones with different ambient loops. With this asset you can easy set up a rectangle and when inside it plays your preferred ambient loop track with overlap settings and much more. The immersion of your game will increase drastically with soundscapes and this asset is the perfect match between simplicity and complexity to match all my needs! Highly recommend!
