Nice asset, but...

Nice asset, but iStep (an asset from another author) is better, it can do more things and has a smoother transition of foot pressure to the ground. I have both assets, so I can compare them.

Works just as advertised, just have to turn on "IK Pass" in your AnimatorController Base layer otherwise it doesn't work. Couldn't find any information on that.

Doesnt Work for Me

I drag and droped the Prefabs into my Scene and Nothing worked. The Animations werent playing. The Movement doesnt work. The Foot Placement doesnt work. Currently One Star

Probably the IK Pass in your animator is not activated or your character doesn't have a Humanoid type rig. Please send me an email so that I can support you properly.

Works great. Easy to set up and easy to understand. The only thing for people who are trying to make this asset work with Animancer you may notice that foot placement does not work. I fixed it by applying any animation controller to animator in the Inspector. The controller is being ignored and the foot placement works just fine :)

If you are looking for great foot IK look no further. This asset is amazing! it saved me so much time that let me work more on bigger stuff than details. The developer of the asset is very talanted and the support is very good. 10/10 recomend

Thank you so much to the author for letting me try this. Really easy to setup and use it instantly!! This is such an easy way to make your game more immersive and realistic tbh... It's well documented, simple to use, the dev is responsive, and the organization of the asset is perfect. I imported two other character controllers from the Asset Store and it was seriously easy to get Foot Placement working. I also really like that it's simple to setup but still customizable, there is an advanced mode too so you can control basically everything you need to get it looking right for your needs. It came with a demo that made it really easy to test out, and all I can say is.. wow. Other foot placement solutions require more setup or major changes to your existing character.. THIS DOESN'T. It's perfect for anything and especially useful for a quick prototype where you want things to look good with 0 effort. The IK quality is great and it handles things like running, animation state transitions, slopes, and correcting on stairs really well (for example if you are in an awkward place in between two steps on the edge, or stop and transition to idle in a strange place, or step on two steps of different heights where one is flat and the other is a slope) Honestly, just try it for yourself. Personally I like this way more than the complicated and less optimized solutions I had to use before. There was also a surprising extra in there: "HeadLookAtDirection" I drag and dropped the script onto the demo scene "JU Robot" and bam, instantly natural head looking in same direction I'm looking with camera. Amazing example of a high quality asset and I wish something like this came with Unity by default, it's so quick and simple to use with such great results. 10/10 I wish all developers put this much thought into their assets.
