I get incredible performance with this asset, 1000 animated entities with occasionally flipping animations and no LOD take 1.4-1.7ms of GPU time to render a frame (AMD 5700 XT). It's also very easy to set up, several clicks in the editor and a couple of lines in scripts.

SO MUCH WASTE OF TIME!!!

WHY ARE THE CHARACTERS NOT ANIMATING?!!! ONLY MANAGED TO MAKE ONE CHARACTER ANIMATE AND DID THE SAME WITH THE OTHER CHARACTERS BUT THEY ARE NOT WORKING!!! AND THE FIRST ONE ONLY MANAGED TO MAKE IT WORK WITH SOME ANIMATIONS ONLY!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS PLUGIN?!!!! ONLY WORKS WITH CERTAIN STUFF THAT MAKES NO SENSE, I HAVE SET THEM UP THE SAMEE!!!!

As I understood, everything is baked, so no runtime procedural animations, no skeleton in runtime. I may be wrong, but as I understood, it's the most efficient solution for performance. So if you need a thousands of skinned meshes on your scene and still have over 150 fps even in the unity editor, this asset is for you. I haven't seen such a performance for the skinned meshes in unity project ever before. I'm impressed and amazed.

Very good fps, and so many character animated by this asset.
You need to be careful polygons of character.
The case of my PC(i7-11700 / RTX3070), 20fps at 50million polygons.
So you should set LOD firmly, but don't worry, there is a LOD tutorial in this asset.

Something wrong when we using submeshes

This is a great tool for ecs animation! But we got some problems when we have a fbx with submeshes and more than one material, the baked animator can only hold one material.
There are any way to use submeshes in this?

I'm afraid 2D is not supported. 2D animations are completely different to 3D skinned mesh animations. The baking technique doesn't apply. If you want to optimize 2D animations with ECS and animation sprite sheets, that would be fairly easy to do without any third party component.
Other reviews were not exaggerating, great tutorials, samples and asset in general. Took a few days for me to get it working because of some prerequisite stuff I needed to learn. Once it is set up, tweaking and re-baking your prefabs is easy. I'm testing with a model with two animated mesh renderers, 11 animations and 9 animation events and it runs great. Around 60 fps in editor with ~25k constantly animated characters at a time in a simple streaming world game (where I only need like 400 animators). My computer had ~80fps with 40k animators in the festival sample in the editor. Really cool that so many features have been included in this, I was sold with just the base animation baking.
