Had problems with starting the aircraft, but after asking for help, the issues were ironed out very quickly. Great asset with Great support, Highly Recommended!

Excellent physics, beginners might have difficulty.

Perfect asset if you are trying to make a realistic flight simulator such as IL2 or DCS. The physics are EXCELLENT! Landings feel real, and they even make that "clunk" sound in the cockpit. The prefab planes included are extremely fun to fly around - each one really does handle like it would in real life. As a beginner to Unity, it was a bit tough to get started beyond the demo scene but I've got it working great now. If you haven't played around with an asset this extensive before, and you are still learning the basics of Unity, you might have some difficulty. However... The creator of this asset is very quick when responding to all of my questions, even sending screenshots to help me when I got stuck. 10/10

i bought this asset some time ago. it wasn't easy to get used to it. but after a certain time you know how everything is related. there is a great documentation in the asset. you just have to try the rest. the support is great. the dev responds quickly and helps with any questions. many thanks for this asset.

Lots of problems here or I don't understand something

I have imported asset out-of-the-box and in demo scene don't know how to start engine in any aircraft or helicopter. Propellers just keep spinning around while key is pressed but I can't neither start engine or take off to check physics and fly around. Is it bug or something? Or maybe I don't understand something. Please assist

Hello, i recently replied your mail. It's not a bug. Some vehicles templates were left by error with incorrect engine starter torque values on the prefabs. As result some vehicles need to open throttle in order to heve the engines start. You can change the idle throttle settings to have the engine run with out throttle input. You can reffer to engine documentation for more detail on physics based engine behaviour to understand what is happening. It's not an "engine start secuence", the engine starter actually just add external torque to the engine. This sim system is physics based so it has some learning curve. I'm allways available via mail. (i was in bed when you first wrote me 5 hours ago).

Hi, UNet works. And it has a working demo scene. This error has poped up when using unity 2018. A fix has been submited. for fixing just remove all [RPC] tags or comment out the error lines. It's obsolete code. This is very old code from before UNet.

ArgumentException: Input Axis trim is not setup. To change the input settings use: Edit -> Project Settings -> Input StandardInputs.Update () (at Assets/uSim_framework/Main/Scripts/Inputs/StandardInputs.cs:23) and I need it to be working with logitech flight joy stick is this applicable

Hello, This inputs issue is beeing fixed in next update before 2018 ends. If still find problems with inputs please write me to gabriel.campitelli@gmail.com To have logitech joysticks is possible but handleing it with Unity standard libraries might result a bit complex. I strongly recomend use of Rewired asset to handle all type of joysticks easy. uSim has full support on Rewired integration. Send me a mail for instrucions. Thanks. Gabriel.

I really like this framework. but it runs like a*s on my laptop. and it's also not very "noob" friendly. two requests.. a simpler air demo. the one provided is nice, but it's for experienced people with big rigs. a simple prop plane with W-A-S-D controls would be really helpful. please. (my request and interest is biplanes, which have no need to retract wheels). no "choose from...." menu, either. just plonk me in it, and let me fly. better docs on how to add our own models would also be much appreciated. i tried to 'start from scratch' and follow your P51 doc example, but had no luck with that. the "add your model here" (in _model) approach, leaves 30 odd bits of clutter which bear no relation to my original physical model. and just makes for more confusion. my last attempt.... new model.. check.. atmospheric globals... check... uSimplayerinterface.... check... inputs.... check... but i am still sat on the ground... and the engine refuses to start. lol.. just a small demo project, with a simple plane, please. shoving it all in my face at once is too much (for me and my laptop). :) cheers. EDIT: thanks for the reply, Gabriel. I have more unity knowledge now, than i did then. I hope to jump back into it again soon. Appreciate you continuing to develop it. Thankyou.

awesome product and some of the best customer service i have had from a unity product developer this is real vehicle simulation so it is tricky but once you get used to the set up it is vey powerful cant wait for updates!

1st of all you need to bear in mind that this is a simulation framework, so will need to read docs and mess around with settings (spend some time) to get it to work. I am also working on ship simulation so have only used the ship components in my projects, but have been flying around in the demo just for fun. IMHO at the time of writing this review there is no other alternative realistic ship physics package available for unity which works as well as this one does. I can't consider myself a developer but rather an enthusiast, I managed to get this ship physics working with my models albeit by using the forum to ask some pretty dumb questions, and thanks to the developer and the kind ppl who replied. This is a realistic physics simulation package which uses forces, airfoils, engines, rudders etc on rigid bodies so expect tweaking and fine tuning of various parameters. I am using this package with Playway water ocean and they work perfectly together, results are truly amazing and realistic. Support is excellent and all issues I've emailed developer about have been dealt with appropriately, at times creating and providing free example assets. The only flaw I can see with this package is that it is lacking a more comprehensive documentation on the ship physics side of things, but one must remember that ship physics is still at beta stage, (have not checked the latest version - developer may have included them now) in any case developer is usually available to help out with any concerns.
