Listen, here’s the deal.
This engine is advertised in a way that makes it seem like you’ll be able to draw your characters up, pop in some hit boxes, and get right to business.
Unfortunately that’s not the case, unless you are 100% ALREADY comfortable with using Unity, stay away from this as you’ll lose your money.
I’ve requested a refund which I have yet to receive.
The tutorials on how to import 2D characters are highly outdated and no longer work, and the support just isn’t anywhere to be found. I’ve reached out on Discord and the Forums.
Don’t waste your time with this one unless you already KNOW how to work it.
Sorry, it’s just the truth.
I really wish I was wrong about this because this engine looked awesome.

I feel like that is a relative way to describe one's inaptitude to use a game engine.

Refunds are handled by Unity. It might take a week or so to receive your money back. Contact Unity if you have any further issues.

That just isn't true. You might be the first to have such complain, or rather, inability to adapt to minor changes made to both Engine and Unity over the years. Being able to develop something means being able to use common sense around updates. You can't expect videos to be re-released because a button moved or minor features were added.

By that you mean: You asked a question and didn't receive an answer immediately. I say that because your question has already been answered in the forums. This topic should tell you everything you need to know about how support works:

This is a GAME ENGINE, not a game. You are not a driver buying a car. You are a mechanic buying the framework of a car. Its absolutely REQUIRED to have some basic knowledge of Unity and game development (as described in the requirements section).
It is confusing to navigate, and has little tutorials. It's slow and clunky upon playing the demo as well. If you're after a responsive, fast paced fighting game that you would happily know the controls of, this asset will not help you.
I require a refund.

Terrible Documentation (Super Frustrating)

I've given up on working on a 3D fighter due to poor documentation. There's very little documentation for 2D development, and whatever videos exist are outdated for UFE 2. The developers don't even answer your emails.
Working on this asset is a real excercise of patience.

I'm sorry, I don't recall getting any email from you. The documentation is up to date, and you can watch the video tutorial on 2D animations and hitboxes that was posted about 3 months ago. Is there anything in particular you are looking for?

Recent unity update makes ufe unberable to use.

I wish i had a better experience but with these recent unity updates it seems almost impossible for UFE to keep this engine working properly. And they hardly ever give any tutorials for any changes and a are very vague in change logs on their site.

More tutorials are being added. Make sure you are using the correct version of Unity. The package follows strict update rules to comply with Unity latest updates.
