I was excited about this asset, thought I got a great deal on a lightning deal, basically got ripped off. It is what it is. Should not have put a product that is no longer supported on Lightning Deals and then immediately try to sell them the updated version for $350.

Please read the description before purchasing a product!
This product is deprecated (as described), not listed nor available on sales.
By owning this version however, you can download UFE 2 Standard for free and get a discount on UFE 2 Source (based on the amount you paid).
You can also request a refund from the Asset Store if you so desire.

UFE 1.x has been deprecated (works on Unity 2018.2 or lower). To use Unity 2020 you need UFE 2.0. By owning UFE PRO 1.x you can download UFE 2 Basic for free.
I've had this asset since about 2015 or so. It's very helpful and is the most complete Vs system you can get in the asset store.
It's important to not rush into development with the asset and actually watch the videos and read the PDF and visit the forum/site before starting. This way you're less frustrated as an intermediate unity dev or above as things may be straightforward seeing the foundation increases your ability to get things done.
All in all an amazing asset with the biggest concern being my games near early alpha and I can no longer get updates for this on release of UFE2 now.
Very very upsetting as a solo dev I just don't have that extra money. Regardless this asset is all around sound and will have you making a Vs in no time. ONLY if you take the time to go over those resources.
If I've UFE pro is there a discount to upgrading to UFE 2 Pro and or source? Would also like to share my projects progress with you.

Moe-Mogareon version 1.8.6
They do not have a PDF to learn this engine, the videos tutorials they do have our outdated. Instead they just provide you with a link to their site that has information but is missing a lot of basics as they skip pass it. I just wanted to place my character on a plane to test the engine, but I don't know how to attach their camera script since it isn't shown. They just don't provide you with enough material to learn the engine, to be honest they are lazy with their video updates I mean the tutorials our spread apart some by years & since the UI has been updated you can't clearly following their videos.
Edited; the biggest issue I had was getting the humaniod character model to work, luckily I had some help from the forum by a user but I shouldn't have had to practically beg for help the asset should have included a detailed PDF that covers everything I needed to learn in detail, over 5 plus years that should have been a no brainier, on the asset developers. I understand that video updates take far more time then have the PDF at least, off that is complete not just internet or nothing since things happen. I will add a I will add a higher rating when I see the PDF is in full and not me needing to beg on the forum.

We do have a PDF file. Its inside the UFE folder.
Over the course of 5 years new features were added, but videos can still be followed. That said, new videos are coming.

Ok but no support

dizzymediaincon previous version 1.8.1
The system itself is ok, it has a huge learning curve if you are used to using the built in visual animator to setup animations. There are of course a few other things that take a bit to get used to although once you do it's not hard to get a game rolling.
My main issue is the lack of support from the developers as I have been waiting a week for a response to my inquiries and have yet to receive one.
The answers to my questions will determine if this is even the right pack for my game and if not, can i even get a refund without a proper response from the creator?
Not looking good.
EDIT: Requested refund, creator has yet to get back to me.
EDIT 2: Response from developer was "learn how to do your research", sorry but i'm not a noob at using unity and i have been a developer for 12 years, if i have to do extreme research in order to utilize your system, that's very bad.
Don't bother with this system or the dev, not worth the time.

A great asset that still have more growing to do.

KRGraphicson previous version 1.8.0
I bought this asset a few years ago after being convinced it would help me make a fighting game of my own. And so far with my current high end project, it is doing a great job of it, allowing me to create my own moves and set them on the fighters, especially with the use of Mecanim, which eases the process of applying all of the animation on my fighter. And I can also represent my game with high graphical fidelity. I was also VERY HAPPY that they added Alternate Costumes (something that EVERY modern fighting game has) so I don't have to code that in.
The reason I have given this asset Four Stars and not five, is because despite the ease of set up with hitboxes and level design, and tweaking move sets to my desire, I feel the tool itselt is too "Street Fighter" centric at times. I grew up playing Street Fighter like every other kid, but I also played MK, Tekken, KIller Instinct, Fatal Fury, Art of Fighting, and even Virtua Fighter (which is my top favourite along with Tekken). And certain things I want in my game require a bit more setup... most of it coding. Example, if I want to have specific post effects on a camera that I used to create a level (I use Scion and Amplify Colour/Motion a lot), I would unfortunately have to script this and hope it works. I am not a programmer (mostly an artist) so I would have to fish for info and how to do it. And playmaker might be good for this kind of thing.
Also for the game I am making, interactive level elements would have to be coded (not a problem if I could find someone willing to help with this) as well as cutscenes in 3D using other assets or Unity's Director tool (when is this coming?). That would be perfect for MK-Like fatalities.
All in All, UFE is a great tool for making every gamers dream come true: making a cool fighting game. I hope to see more features soon, specifically.
-- Interactable environments (a la Injustice 2). I have ideas for portions of the background to kill the opponent like in MKXL or games like Eternal Champions
-- Fatality setups (using tools like Cinema Director. A fatality can be just like the moves in UFE, except only triggered if the opponents health is at 0. You guys can add this in Global Options for kill moves)
-- The ability to set your own camera prefab per level. Don't know why this was overlooked. I would have to redo all of my settings via script. Basically repeating work that I have already done. It would be nice to have this in an update so I DON'T have to script something like this. Basically the camera can just be like the main camera UFE uses, expect set up the way I like.

Thank you for the review. Make sure you use our forums to discuss your experience and suggestions with the tool!
This package is dope. It's got everything and I like that you allow people to download the app for free and test it out. It worked perfectly. My only question is how do I change the music because I don't see it in the code and it said "No coding necessary" so how do I change the music?

For the stages, you can change the music here:
http://www.ufe3d.com/doku.php/global:stages
For the other screens, you can change them individually by accessing them under the GUI Options:
http://www.ufe3d.com/doku.php/global:gui
And yes, no coding is necessary ;)
Easy to handle and has a wide load of features. With some knowledge it is possible to implement your own features as well. This has helped my fighting game project reach new heights in the many months that ive had UFE. I encourage other people who want to make a 2.5d fighter to get this engine.
There is also great mecanim support. (No it does not come with the ability to create mecanim animations.)
