Had this asset on my list of "must gets" for a few years now, but, for whatever reason I had never got around to grabbing such until only recently purchasing such, alas, after such upon even said initial tinkering about with it and quickly falling in love with the asset my initial exclamation was: "why on earth did I ever wait so long to grab this asset?!", haha! This asset is without a doubt the best train controller on the asset store. An incredible presentation at a reasonable cost if you factor all that is included with such. If you are planning train inclusion in project plans, then this is something you might want to add to your list with a quickness. Also, the bonus of having various options provided by the author is without a doubt a plus for any user say seeking such. This is a quality product that without a doubt has endless potentials and is indeed something you may even find yourself after purchase appreciating more and more. I would definitely suggest this as a valued purchase "MUST HAVE", highly recommended addition to one's unity toolkit.

With all the help in the world I'd still not be able to create a controller like this. A proper quality job. You can have trains running in no time, automated or manual - with SFX and Animations! It's not just trains either, the expansion packs for Cable Cars, Subway, Steam Trains are quality & allow for a lot of additional scope. I can't wait till I begin to get people in there.

In the past I have done train and spline stuff independently and this tool along with all the models, customization etc has been fantastic! Also, great response time from the team!

Setting up tracks and trains was straightforward, and everything runs smoothly. The examples make it easy to get started, and customizing for my own project was no problem. On top of that, the support is excellent, quick responses and really helpful.

I needed a train for a western heist game. This system has so many features and the track builder and sample scenes are a great starting place for such a game. There are a lot of options for types of trains and each car comes with lots of options to animate and interact with. I got the asset on sale but this is a fair price for the quality that you get.

Easily the best train controller on the asset store. Could be used to make a train system similar to games like GTA or RDR2. Comes with sounds as well as door opening animations so everything works out the box. Can be potentially used for train simulator game.

Is it compatible with unity.splines? My roads are built on the fly using Road Constructor. Can I use the Road Constructor plugin to build railways?

WSM Game Studio's Train Controller - Ultimate Collection is hands-down the best asset I've purchased from the Asset Store. Other reviewers have it absolutely correct: it's incredibly easy to use and can be deployed to your game very quickly. As well, the technical support has been hands-on, rapid in response, and problems found were fixed in good order. I can't recommend this highly enough - I had no idea how I was going to solve the challenges of putting trains into my game, and now within a very short time I have fully functional trains.
