Well, i just bought this. If just installing the single player MMO, it's a breeze. No hiccups at all. I just used the next 2022.3.62f3 editor version and it's running right away. Documentation for installation is spoon-fed. Modifying it to your kind of MMO though will be another story for sure, but it's a good start.

I purchased this in hopes to use it. Not a fan, I wont be able to use it due to the docs being extremely out of date and hard to read.

Great kit for creating an MMORPG game and very good communication with the developers! Highly recommended. If you’re having trouble running it in Unity 6, use version 6000.2.0f1. Older versions have issues. I also recommend reaching out directly to the developers rather than on Discord (since it’s community-run). The response and problem-solving from the Kit developers is excellent, and I highly recommend it.

Supported Unity version listed as 2022.3.55 or higher. Looked at docs and and setup guide shows screenshots of 6000.0.46f1 so I should assume I can use that version or one close to it. Follow the guide up to clicking the build button... and immediately get an error about a missing a method in the input system... Tried in 6000.1 as well and while the build succeeds the app just crashes... Go looking for the discord or forum... links nowhere to be found... no discord link on the website or docs... the link on their homepage just links me back to the Unity store... Went to the git issues link after reading other reviews and the person responding to issues on github apparently doesn't even use the discord? if the discord exists at all? Looked at docs on common troubleshooting. There isn't much there. The one thing listed is the option for resetting packages and... the menu options just doesn't even exist in my menu. I'll probably get this up and running eventually but buyer beware with this one. Expect it may not go smoothly. If it's this unstable just to get the demo to build I have doubts about how the rest of it will run. Update: Finally got demo to run by importing into and building building in 6000.0.55f1 and turning on incremental GC. Without incremental GC turned on the app was crashing before even getting to the splash screen. I also had to open up the addressables groups window and convert legacy addressables settings to get things to run without error. Lots of warnings in 6000.x so you may have better luck in an older version of Unity. Bumping my review up to 2 stars because this does provide a lot of functionality and does appear to be set up to be able to scale, but I've run into many rough spots in the demo. Maybe this is obvious for an MMO asset but if you're not an advanced developer you will probably have a rough time.

Asset fully installed in fresh project and when i hit play i was hit with 999+ red alerts in the console and the engine didn't run, pinpointing a specific issue would be impossible. searched internet for solution. found developer support thread. developer dismissed user concerns and wrote he didnt care about the new user experience then listed some technobabble on how to fix it.

It gets better with time.

I've been using it for over 4 years and recommend it. I see the template evolve with each update released. I honestly think $80 is very cheap for the features it delivers. If you're thinking about buying it, buy it, you won't regret it.

I recommend it. This will allow you to create a game without knowledge of programming languages. Everything works on PC and mobile platforms. There is documentation that will allow you to configure the server without any problems. Asset is constantly updated and developed. There is no need to react to inadequate reviews. These are written by people who do not understand anything about the engine. The asset developer is not to blame for this.

There is a lot in this asset and the quality is spectacular!
