2D Tank Controller is an easy to use tool for creating 2D tank games with advanced mechanics.
This pack is easy to work with as all scripts are well documented and organized. The editor user interface also includes tooltips for all variables to explain what everything does.
Main Features
• 48 different WW2 tanks from 3 nations (Germany, USA & USSR)
• All tanks have unique statistics
• Realistic movement and collisions
• Sound and particle effects
• Track marks
• Support for turreted and non-turreted vehicles
• Tanks can be immobilized by shooting their tracks
• UI panel with tank name, HP, reload time etc.
• Crosshair with aiming indicator for mouse input mode
• Both destructible and indestructible buildings and walls for cover
• Base capture system
Shell Mechanics
• Detailed and very realistic armor model for each tank
• Armor models are separated into 2 layers, so hull and turret can have their own armor values
• Armor piercing (AP) and high-explosive (HE) shell types
• AP shell penetration is calculated based on the angle (effective thickness) of the plate
• HE shells have their very own damage mechanic, so non-penetrating shots deal "splash damage" depending on the thickness of the armor
