ElectronicFartsGameson version 1.1.1
As it says in the overview- this asset requires an intermediate understanding of unity to use.
It's an old asset and so it takes some fiddling to get it working on modern unity versions. If you know what you're doing however, it's not that hard to update and works quite well. Overall this is an outstanding asset and I can't wait to flip it for a quick buck.

IN, WITH THE GOOD:
Awesome fun testing, and playing it, in the asset's initial state.
Navigating by GamePad and using interfaces by GamePad sticks - all done.
Complete, editable game, plus a little items shop, already done for you.
Enter-Exit vehicles, planes, chopper, etc, by GamePad, or keys - also done.
Complete, and plenty game levels, as one large stage, baked and ready for re-editing.
OUT, WITH THE BAD:
My experience with this --- it's ok, if you have a LOT of free time, and only than,
and if you use only this game framework, as your main game basis.
-it's very hard to change things around, it's all coded/placed in a pretty sneaky way,
(i guess this was needed before, to protect the product, code, etc ...)
-cross references of things are all-over, you have to hunt around a lot...
-another extra inconvenience - main variables are stored in separate .txt files,
and is a nightmare going into them all the time to change any object's values.,
it will be better if all of that is object and script oriented, as Unity normally is.
With re-editing/changing the art - equally difficult to hunt things to their real places.
You will spend 7 (out of say 8 daily hrs), not knowing what you are really doing,
and, after at least half a year still find difficult producing your game out of this.

I am not quite a Unity noob but am still learning. This asset - oh my! what a game.
I only release to iTunes & iOS devices so although not officially supported, I purchased anyway and am glad I did. As people have already commented, its not the easiest template to get around and it needs patience and plenty of diving into scripts, PNG & PSD files.
For iOS, needs tweaking to get it exported without issue into Xcode but once there - no errors and an easy port onto my iPhone and iPad for testing.
Game play is superb, graphics are excellent and it runs smooth without any problems at all.
More than worth the money and a joy to work on.
Tested fully on iOS 9.3 and with Xcode 7.3 - no problem!

Hi Dennis,
Thanks for your feedback.
I've tried importing the package under 5.3.2f1 64-bit and I'm not experiencing any crashes yet (Standalone windows platform).
There are indeed some obsoletion warnings, 1 about Crossplatform Input control being done differently, some about Scene Management being done differently and some concerning the enabling of particles. If and when the package is updated, we *might* fix these, if it turns out to be possible to create a solution that does not crash older unity versions.
My hunch is that you might be running a different platform and Crossplatform Control is messing things up. Try changing the platform before running.
Otherwise try switching to an older OR newest version of Unity.
As you know, this is NOT the place for bug reports, so please contact the support mail address with more detailed information on your setup and how and when the crash is occuring. Thanks for your help!
