DeepL Translator, launched by DeepL GmbH in 2017, uses artificial intelligence to provide translations that are often considered more accurate and natural than those from competitors. It's trained on a large database of texts, enabling nuanced translations across several European and Asian languages. DeepL offers both free and subscription-based services, targeting individual and professional users seeking reliable translation tools to bridge language gaps.

Currently the following languages are supported:

DeepL offers two different account types:

• Deepl API Free
• Deepl API Pro

You can use the free version of the API as long as you don't exceed the limits. As of writing there is a 500.000 character limit / month. In most cases the free account type is enough for a smaller game project. If you have a lot of texts to translate, you might want to get a pro account instead.

ChatGPT is a conversational AI model developed by OpenAI. It's designed to generate human-like responses to text inputs, making it an ideal candidate for natural language processing tasks. ChatGPT is trained on a diverse range of internet text, enabling it to understand and respond to a wide variety of topics. It's available as a cloud-based API, making it accessible to developers seeking to integrate conversational AI into their applications.

• GPT-4: Offers broad general knowledge and domain expertise. The input rate is $30.00 per 1M tokens and the output rate is $60.00 per 1M tokens.
• GPT-4 Turbo Preview: Features a 128k context, fresher knowledge, and a broad set of capabilities. The input and output rates are $10.00 and $30.00 per 1M tokens, respectively.
