We are surrounded by electromagnetic fields at all time. Every electrical device is a different source of these waves, but we usually don’t see or hear them. With modern capture equipment, we can record these fields in an audible range for the human ear; Opening doors to a world of fascinating and weird sounds.
We went capturing various appliances and electrical gadgets around the house. We collected incredible noises with many glitches, hum, crackles... These are great source of abstract, processing data, futuristic or broken technology. And featuring detailed stereophonic moving images, it makes a great fit to create sophisticated modern sound design.
