A quality based bang for buck asset

deathwatchgamingson previous version 1.7.1
While I tend to enjoy most of the assets I have seen provided from this author simply just for the artistic quality professional packaging and presentation, a review usually requires commenting on things one has actually tested within such products so if and or when providing review or feedback I tend to only review items within a product that from experience that I may have already to date tested or used if that makes sense as it would not make sense to review items within a package not yet fully experienced as such would be speculative and not necessarily reliable in my opinion. So, in stating such I may comment on what I have already tested and or worked with within this package. Primarily when initially quickly viewing the demo, such was very pleasing and I did not readily notice many issues in the slightest, except, I did quickly notice there is an issue with doorframe size on some of the props in the range not being relative in size to the standard used 1.8 or even the default char controller usage of 2.0 and thus would require the char to crouch through those props to clear the doorframe, though not sure if those I noticed were overlooked accidently or intentionally made to be smaller than standard but still worthy to note that such was noticed on initial viewing. Overall there is alot of quality in this package and way too many props and such to comment on all in entirety so I will simply comment on what primarily I have currently spent the most time using as of late. Mkay, and in stating such now let me discuss things that I actually tested out extensively up until now and that is primarily all the vehicles. :) The quality of these vehicles are very pleasing and simply enjoyable to work with and while I found very little complaints with such I will try to quickly mention some things noticed while working with such: lights are not separated and it would be good to see such done in a later update as such needs not an explanation as to the value of why such is suggested, okay, doors would definately improve the vehicles and is something that would be nice to see added in a later update adding further value to such asset. Okay, I really enjoyed the dirt bike, rib is pretty cool also and was a joy to tool around with, dune buggy is awesome though that back spare wheel seems a bit big in comparison to the actual wheels and might be a trick on the eyes but was something that kinda kept bugging me on why it appeared so big, haha, though such could have been long hours and monitor mirages so who knows, lol. Mkay the armored truck is awesome as is the sedan, six wheel truck, humvee, tank ru and tank us and c-130. 0kay there is one issue I did notice with humvee and I suspect it was simply maybe the artist being tired and overlooking the fact that the back wheels are mislabeled and on the wrong sides and no this not to be mistaken with the -180 on some vehicle model prefabs right wheels like the sedan that require script modifications while scripting your controllers, mkay, just needed to clarify to the incorrect meshes on the humvee is not related to that and in fact was something most might not notice right away but at time that I noticed such the version of the package I was using clearly had the two back wheel meshes on the humvee on the wrong axles though labeled as being the proper wheels they should be and is something that should be corrected and is simply most likely something easily overlooked or missed at time by the artist but was indeed something I noticed and had to correct when working with such as such can cause complications, obviously. No biggie just something noticed. Ok, not really an major issue but something that bugged me is the collider on six wheel truck kinda messes up the viability of usage with trailer if really considering using in a multiplayer concept as team folks would want to hitch a ride and lay fire support or what not in the back and such can be noticed the minute you add a char controller and try to jump in the trailer and start airwalking due to the collider on truck body creating some issues, again not a major issue but something quickly noticed. Okay, the sedan was fun to play with even with the negative on wheels requiring minor script modifications to compensate for such. Okay, the tank us and tank ru was without a doubt very fun to play with and I did not notice any issues that readily come to mind while working with such and both are simply beautiful to say the least. Okay, as I think that covers commentary on most vehicles minus yet the c-130 let us get to that. Ok, it is simply beautiful and the craftmanship is awesome and would work perfect in the aspect of say char insertion and or airdrop functionalities without a doubt, but, then let us factor if you then or also decide outside of that spectrum to say decide to create flight controls you will need to say: mkay, what flight controls does such an aircraft have? Like oh yeah, left and right ailerons, left and right flaps, left and right elevators and...., a rudder..., this model does not have a rudder and I am not sure why such was excluded especially how detailed everything else in the model is I found it odd to see no rudder added and perhaps could be something added on a later update hopefully. Ok, that is simply so far things I may have noticed in my experience with such vehicle models. What would I like to see added? Hmm, as far as existing models I would enjoy seeing the lights separated as noted, doors added as noted, a rudder on the c-130 aircraft as noted and not really much else yet desired that immediately comes to mind as regardless of noticed factors they are quality models in current state and still a pleasure to work with. Ok, what vehicles would I like to see added that I felt should have been included but was not? An atv of course! A jetski of course! Also some type of helicopter support say for example either a little bird, chinook or sea stallion as to me such all suggested would be valued additions to such an already quality asset and seems to be the only commonly used vehicle types in such a genre that are missing. One last thing I would love to see added that makes sense since there are so many vehicles in this asset and is something I also mentioned as a suggested model / prefab addition in the city asset review for the same reason is some sort of gas station or refuel station model / prefab as such would make sense that people would want to eventually perhaps add some sort of functionalities of the likes to their vehicle systems and have the props for such available that matches the existing asset would only further add viability and value to the existing asset, again just an opinion and thought / suggestion / request. :) As for the many other props added, from what I have viewed so far, those that I have used and those that I have not yet used, all are quality and a viable investment for the affordable price thus warranting a decent review and I am sure will continue with further usage to maintain my opinion of the asset value. One final thing is seeing what this asset was inspired by and what the artist / author created from such inspirations, I would love to see the artists renditional impression and creation from such is if they used the same inspiration types say but also additionally decided to create a similar asset in the future inspired by also say dmz, but hey that again is just an opinion and something one can add to a hopeful wishlist. ;)

A Good assets pack , but not a perfect
Cody_Dreamon previous version 1.06
this is good assets pack, but really lack in optimization , like these does not have LOD , even graphics are low poly massive scenes like demo scene is slow down the game , also things are not flexible example ladder from the tower is not separated , no destroyed version of explosive barrel

Thanks for the feedback. If you find things could be improved (specifically models being broken up a little for functionality), please reach out to support@syntystudios.com and let us know. We include LODs on some of our larger packs but generally not with the smaller packs, but you'll find some tools out there to help generate them to best suit your specific needs. As for the demo scene, all our demos are intended as a showcase of how the assets look and aren't optimized for use in a game. We always recommend using them more as a starting point or inspiration for creating your own levels.

The best in terms of charectors and looks but not optimized. this thing have 6 million polygon which is not good for performence. if you want to use it for mobile then it could be bad idea. the number of polys is higher than realistic assets

Nice Low Poly Models and Prefabs
Geoffcon previous version 1.05
This is a good scenery pack and the models are done well and look nice with the low poly count. Has a distinct look and is suitable for many types of battle games. One thing missing I would love to see in a future update is a rigged arms prefab to match the character arms to use in an FPS game but other than that these assets are great.

I can quite understand why Synty Studios have started producing their more recent megapacks, whose prices clearly reflect the amount of work that goes into them, and the amount of content that they contain However, as a one-man band indie dev doing it mainly for fun, I much prefer the older, smaller, lower price packs (which almost always include a large amount of content too) I can wait until they're on special offer, or, like now, just blow the money because I happen to need a particular pack at the time, and fifty or so of your American dollars is not that big a deal, whereas three or four hundred IS Anyway, economics aside, this particular pack is perfect for my needs. I was working on a Battle Royale style game, using a different set of assets, and, well, it was going ok, but all just looked a bit... bland. So, I blew fifty or so of your American dollars on this, and suddenly it's sprung to life As other reviewers have noted, the vehicles (although having moving wheels, and steering wheels) don't have operable doors. No biggie for me, as I wasn't intending on using drivable vehicles in this project. The buildings DO have usable doors (and interiors) however Not a vast cast of different characters, but a large array of equipment with which to customize them, so it will SEEM as if there is. Quite a small sample map too, but it's usable as-is (after the usual fiddling around with tags and layers and colliders and what-not). All in all pretty pleased with this purchase
