Ok but bland
AndersMalmgrenon version 1.3
I have looked at this asset for a long time. Finally took the plunge. First off the metalness / smothness maps are pretty bland, its obvious they were sloppy added retroactive. If you are looking for sweet PBR materials you got the wrong asset. Though you will not go completely without. Also hightmaps for rocks and cliffs are broken. Hightmaps for house walls are ok.
Second UV seams are pretty weak, like in doorways, windows etc. Some rocks have bad UV seams too.
Be aware that collision uses LOD2, LOD2 misses internal floors etc. So you need to swap it to LOD0. Also if you want different collision for different material types (wood, brick etc) you need to seperate LOD0 in blender and import for collision. There is also no modularity in mind, though pretty easy to modify houses in blender.
Lastly scales are a mix. You need to start by correcting all scales.
You will get alot of assets for a large battlefield type scene. But just beware its a bit dated and bland.

Pretty but unusable
nastydiaperon version 1.3
This is a really nice asset and the details to the terrain are nice. 3 stars for a very major reason...the houses are completely unusable. Only 1 mesh encompasses each so ladders, doors, etc. cannot be adjusted. More importantly, the mesh collider does not take into the entire mesh! So this stair case you can walk up but the next 2 you simply walk right through.
If you manage to get to a second floor you end up falling through the floor because most floors don't have colliders.
If you're making something pretty to look at or simply want the terrain, go for it. But if you need houses, look for something else.

I wish more assets had this quality

MightyAnubison version 1.3
In short: As a model builder and one who mostly builds his stuff on his own, or has to rebuild many assets he has in order to make them usable in large scenes, I have to comment on this:
I have - very rarely - an asset under the hands what:
- is so well built,
- is so fantastically organized,
- so coherent in all colors and details,
- has so many useful things like terrain materials, rocks, bushes and others,
- and is so well optimized
as this scene!
My absolute respect, as a creator, modeler and experienced "optimizer" to the creator of the asset!
FANTASTIC WORK! Worth every penny!
This is absolutely clearly evident a 5 / 5 +AAA asset!
Great work!

I was looking for some environment for VR (HTC,OCULUS)
So I asked author via FB about verts count. They replied almost immediately.
After ordinary import into Unity a placing Player from Steam VR without any change I was nicely surprised how fast it moves with all that glitters :)
Thank you. I will definitely buy another one.

This asset creates beautiful scenery, very quickly. If you are looking for a desert type of environment, this asset provides high quality models for a great price!

Exactly What I Needed

bradleyrjhookon previous version 1.2
This package was exactly what I was looking for. The demo terrains showcase the items beautifully.
I can walk around with default FPS controller, however I cannot seem to use with Realistic FPS Prefab. When I import the RFPSP FPS controller I fall through the terrains included in the demos. I have tried other terrains and they seem to work fine.
Any ideas why your terrains colliders aren't working with RFPSP?
Thank you!

All assets are of different size and non of them matches. Buildings have several clearly visible holes or gabes in the mesh on clearly noticable spots. Or sometimes Doorways are filled with a face where it shouldn't be.
The basicly ok but a bit dated. The issues and all the additional work the require are a no go!
