This asset provides a series of cloud images that are applied to flat 3D meshes with one of three different shaders. The shaders are what make this asset worth its price, as you can take pretty much any cloud picture (for which you have a license!), doctor it according to the instructions in the documentation file, and then, voila, you have a cloud that won't look like any other cloud that uses this asset. These are (more-or-less) two-dimensional models, so this asset is not the one for you if flying through clouds is something you need in your game.
Some reviews complain about the price, and I agree it may be a bit high. But, then again, the question I always ask myself is "how much is my time worth?" When I can develop something in-house for less than it would cost me to purchase a pre-built asset, I do so (or when the asset must match the look and feel of the game, but clouds are pretty much commodities). It's just the classic "build vs. buy" dilemma any business faces.
One piece of constructive feedback: although the clouds can easily be moved, and they can be made to always face the camera, there's no solution for the change in perspective as the cloud is moved by wind from one horizon, overhead, and to the next. On the horizon, clouds are seen more from the side, and are somewhat flattened on the bottom. When overhead, they're viewed completely from underneath, and so nothing appears flattened. So if you want to move the clouds across the sky, you'll need to build upon this asset's foundation to make that look right.
Overall, though, I'm very happy with this asset.

This asset is old, and not worth anything with unity 5.6. The shaders are old made with Shader Forge beta 0.78 I think... they do not catch the sun light, and are useless in practice in any game.
$30 is a promotional price?
To the ones who have been screwed like me, here is how you can do much better.
1) find a picture of a cumulo nimbus on the internet, or take a picture with your phone..
2) load it in Photoshop, add an alpha channel, and draw in the Alpha where you want it transparent.
3) save in 32 bits TGA.
4) in Unity, create a Quad. Create a new material, use Standard + cut for example or transparent. Use the cloud texture.
Done, you have saved $30, plus your cloud is now receiving light and GI.
QT, please update this pack, you are embarrasing yourself with this.
Also, important due to the exotic format of the clouds, you have to rework them all in Photoshop to use them with a normal shader... loss of time, loss of money.

Sorry you didn't like the clouds! Tons of people bought them and enjoy them.
30$ is a very decent price for what would amount to days, perhaps weeks of R&D for non-artists. The great majority of users can't do what you've described, let alone author a shader that can control cloud visibility, density, and localized sun and ambient color. You need to have per-cloud color control because relying on NdotL alone through a simple normal map isn't enough. No rework is needed if you learn how they are to be used.
Yea, I can add translucency. Yeesh. Just email me next time at support@qt-ent.com. It's not a big deal.

The goodness is intense in this one ;) thanks for sharing this! I wouldn't have been able to do it this good on my own.

If you're planning to use these as a background then they are perfect for you, not only do they look elegant but their also very easy to customize. You're really getting your money worth its not often that simple things like clouds come with a tool kit to customize the color, contrast, density, etc.

OK (Way over priced)

First of all, these are just 2d photos but with a few vertexes to give a 3d look. You drag the prefab in and using a script, set the color, density and such. There is a look to camera option to rotate it toward the camera. This means the clouds do not always point towards your player. You'd need to use playmaker and a look towards action and they would constantly look at layer. You also have 3 shaders (hard and soft edges). You can change the color to give a more morning look. Nothing fancy.
Now, there were only 4 good ones in the lot. Also, in the manual it says you can use the opace slider to make it more see though. Couldn't find that slider.
It's OK. If you don't want to spend $100 or more on a real system, then this would be a good way to go. The problem is that it is way over priced. $40 should be more like $10-$15. I know he spent some time on this, but that is way to much.

Nice clouds !

Just to be crystal clear for people who come after me, those are not 3D clouds. So you won't be able to fly through them, as they are rendered on a “2D plane” (billboard mesh). That being said, they look amazing on a background sky, are easily customable (color & opacity) and scalable. They also have a volumetric (3D) look, so they will add perspective to your scene. It’s a very nice asset, although I find it a bit pricey given the specific use case.

It says in the first sentence in the description above: "3D Cloud Models is a collection of 15 curved-billboard meshes with photoreal cloud textures." It's also obvious in the wireframe screenshot and videos I've linked. Refunds are processed through Unity, not individual publishers. Please read carefully next time.

Excellent cloud package

Not only is this one of the best cloud packages, especially considering its price (for VR it completely beats crude billboarding particle systems that can make the player feel horrible) but it also comes with excellent support and a developer who knows his creation well!

These clouds are beautiful and very easy to use. All you do is drop them into the scene, open up the Quantum Clouds window, select the clouds you want to affect and then tweak their lighting, orientation and with a button click you can make them all face your camera. A wonderful and intuitive tool.
