My latest addition to my growing collection
3 years ago
zzmmorganon version 2.4
I'm slowly adding to my collection of Aquarius Max assets and this one is another winner. The usual assortment of modular parts and props and even has some particles for a variety of fires to bring life to those braziers, torches, and whatever. And again the modularity of these packs mean you can mix and match between packs.

Wide Range of stuff to design with, great for kit-bashing!

darkgriffinon version 2.4
I am making an old school dungeon crawler, and I needed to build various themed areas such as town, forest, cave passages, dungeon areas, and so on. These packs got me well on my way in one fell swoop! It's a tiny bit of effort resizing the stuff in the pack to fit my dungeon grid size. Many of the props are a much better fit for a realistic action or free roam rpg rather then a dungeon grid where everything must fit according to some strict grid spacing. But that is a unique problem to my game, and nothing wrong with the pack itself. Had I chosen to make a more normal rpg, most of this stuff would just be good right out of the box. The variety of themes I can now create within the consistent "dark medieval fantasy" universe is well worth resizing a few prefabs to fit my silly game restrictions! Some of the included sets feel a little small in possibilities at first, however thanks to the consistent texture style, the different theme kits "bash mix" together very well. If the user gets creative with some lighting and effective scale/resize/reuse of props, there is so much more then just the advertised themes that can be explored. The lower poly-count of the models/textures also helps with game performance when you lay out hundreds of these props in a scene to build a large level. The style of texture gives my game a nice "old school feel" where less is more, while still leaving plenty of extra memory space for effects, lighting, spells, creature models, and so on. This was a great value, and I look forward to purchasing more from this artist in the future! Thank you for giving my project the kick start it needed! :)

Great Stuff Inside!

Warspawnon version 2.4
Reviewer was gifted package by publisher.
disclosure: I received this asset as part of a promotion. As many have already mentioned, there is a LOT inside this pack. I would say that most of the stuff inside is "out of date" by a bit, but it really depends on your game. If the graphics fit, then you really can't go wrong with the variety of pieces you'll get for your RPG game.

Just WOW!

VertexRageon version 2.4
Reviewer was gifted package by publisher.
I usually review a package when I play with it enough to get to know almost all the stuff inside. But with this one - it would take me another month or two. There is so much stuff inside that it is easy to get lost. Basically the name describes this package well. It really is "ultimate". You want to build a castle? You are set. You want to build exterior village scene? You are set. You want to build interior underground dungeon? You are set. You want to build caves? You are set? I could continue in this manner for quite a while, and wouldn't cover the extend of this package. If you consider how much stuff is inside UFC, it seems that Aquarius Max is giving it away for free :D. And he additionally gives great support! Highly recommend it! Full disclaimer: I got this package for free during Messy Coder's anniversary Twich stream. I owed already Medieval Mega Pack (which I also recommend!) and this package was also on my "to-buy" list.

A great pack to start with, and great value

Gildar76on version 2.4
I picked this pack up late last year after watching a review. So I know what I was getting. The pack had what I expected and much more, and has since been updated again with better textures for the older parts. When I bought this I was looking for big modular packs with a lot of flexibility, and this one might be the biggest one you can find. As mentiened in the description, this is a great starter pack for anyone who wants to make a game in a fantasy setting. The developer is also easy to contact and open to feedback. I really appreciate that he went back and updated the textures in this pack recently. It makes everything look more in line with the newer stuff. As I already mentiened, I highly recommend this pack as a starting point. If you are new to Unity and don't own any pack. This is one of the packs you should definitely have a look at.

good but not great.. but could be AAA with a proper update..

JBR-gameson previous version 2.3
This is one of those Unity asset that Gives a really big bang for the buck.. but its not what i would consider AAA asset. PROS alot of assets - no seriously ALOT a nearly complete fantasy Environment kit (Caves, food, props, houses, castles, and many more) some textures are atlased -good for mobile some meshes are low poly - good for mobile CONS The Castles-although they have a hugh amount of optionslike enterable areas inside towers and walls , many areas are left unable to access due to a few missing asset designs. overall medium texture quality 1k-2k New PBR textures are only 1k resolution seriously WTF? Many atlased textures (bad if you want to swap out with a better higher res texture) some meshed are too low poly. some meshes are UV mapped badly with cut off textures/ bad sizing. (stairs are a great example) Great for protyping, RTS, maybe mobile FPS , but would be a 5 year old looking FPS computer game. I feel calling this PBR is kinda misleading. Also updates rarely give changes to the older assets in the pack but only add new ones which may not always match the older styles. would love too see a true PBR update with minimum 2k textures but perferably 4k and versions that have noUV atlases . until then just know its not a AAA looking asset. 4 Stars until a better texture pack is added
