Great asset, could use demo scene, had to fix mats in unity 5

p87on version 3.4
First of all I love the style, I wish there was more stuff. It's really pro handpainted stuff that's up to blizzard par. I wish there was a better demo scene, like an example scene that was built using the assets. As it stands the demo scenes are just a showcase scene with one of each of the assets displayed. Right now I just want to play around prototyping a game, and I dont even care what the level looks like. But the demo scenes not like a playable scene or anything, you still have to build a scene using the pieces. And unfortunately the UniRPG tile editor (that is recommended in the description for this asset) is no longer available. I will have to go see if there's something else available.. Also the materials are screwed up in unity 5, or at least they were for me. They were set to some weird shader that didn't look right. I had to change all the materials back to unlit. I'll probably have to update them all to PBR... Anyways, the art is great, love the style , keep it up.

These are well made assets with a distinctive look, and well worth the money. I love the textures. They are hand painted, but still clean and crisp. There's nothing sloppy about them. The models work well together. Pivot points and consistent sizes make it easy to fit the pieces together when asembling a scene. Minor, nitpicking stuff: 1. Model topology isn't ideal. There are a few too many unnecessary polygons on some of the models. For example, on the entrance model, some rectangular shapes have three or more faces when two would suffice. This can affect performace. 2. The scale of the models is internally consistent, but aren't 1 unit = 1 meter, and don't match Bitgems' other assets such as the viking. I found that they are about half the size they should be. Since changing the scale factor on every model is tedious, this post processor might be helpful to others. public class BitGemsProcessor : AssetPostprocessor { private const float scaleFactor = 0.02f; void OnPreprocessModel () { if(!assetImporter.assetPath.StartsWith ("Assets/Dungeon_Kit/Models") && !assetImporter.assetPath.StartsWith ("Assets/Dungeon_Props/_source")) { return; } Debug.Log (string.Format("BitGemsProcessor - Processing {0}", assetImporter.assetPath)); ModelImporter modelImporter = assetImporter as ModelImporter; if(modelImporter != null) modelImporter.globalScale = scaleFactor; } }

This is exactly what I was looking for, and it is great quality. I'd love to give it 5 stars but I can't until it has stairs too!

Hi Cesar, to reduce draw call please ensure you're using batching http://docs.unity3d.com/Documentation/Manual/DrawCallBatching.html as you'll easily get it under 10 drawcalls. Here's an example of the set that runs on mobile just fine iOS https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/deprofundis-dungeons/id655588121 Android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.thecle.deprofundis

I love the graphical style of these assets and they're just so easy to use. I'd love to see more environmental assets from BitGem in the future.

Finally scrounged up enough money to purchase this set. Looks absolutely amazing. Easy to create various passages and rooms for a dungeon, as well as decorate them with the plethora of props given to us. I've seen some potentially awesome updates incoming for this set of models, making it even more of a perfect purchase.

I'm using your graphics in my unity games and they are both functional and beautiful. I actually had most of the items already in this package but bought it because of the atlas and that it works well with unirpg kit. Right now I'm using your plinth with an fx as a teleporter. It looks really good. It would be so nice if you could add a teleporter. Just mentioning. : ) You provide just about everything I need. My wish list would be wall switches and stairs but I have those in other forms so not worried. But I love the beauty and lovely colorfulness of your work. They look really good in a game. A sewer kit might be nice. : ) Just thinking. : ) With wall and floor grates and ladders. : ) If I could give you ten stars I would. Thank you for the free stuff. : )
