I am trying to set up my own movement controller but the characters slide to the right continuously for some reason? not sure why it's happening it even happens when there is no movement controller on the character. It only stops when I reenable its original Toon Character Controller that I do not want to use.

Recently added all the character prefabs without colliders, rigidbodies and ragdoll joints. So it should now be easier to use the models with another movement system.

Sorry to hear you are having troubles with the character prefabs. The characters are set up to use a ragdoll system, you are probably having issues with the colliders and rigidbodies required to use ragdolls. Those are handled with the Toon Character Controller script.
Using the characters with another character controller, you can use the main character model fbx file.
Drag it to the stage and remove the parts you don't need, then apply the material you want.

Colliders affecting player movement?

I have a script that does not allow movement along the Z-axis, yet when I move my Toon character along the X-axis, it forces her to move along the Z-axis too, negatively, and forces her to rotate in the Y. The script I used did not force the player to move along the Z-axis or rotate in the Y when placed on a simple capsule 3D object so I know it has to do with the character mesh itself. I am using the Archer Girl v1.6. I have tried freezing her positions in the Z and rotation in the Y, checked her colliders, double-checked my script, and even changed the script to see if it works, but it does not. Any help or reason why she might be moving along the Z or rotating along the Y?

Hi there,
Sorry to hear you are having troubles integrating your script with the character. There could a number of things causing this.
It might be the colliders or script used for controlling the ragdoll behavior.
A possible solution would be to use the Model file to create your own character, simply drag the model in the scene and remove the meshes you don't want. This way it will be totally clean of any behavior scripts and colliders.

really some nice characters and i like it to my game but unfortunately can not use them since you have to update their scripts as i get this mistake

Assets/Toon Character Pack/Toon Animations/ToonAnimations.cs(4,32): error CS0234: The type or namespace name `Director' does not exist in the namespace `UnityEngine.Experimental'. Are you missing an assembly reference?

Funny characters - using them in my game

Really great characters in the package! Very funny!
Works out of the box. I was able to add more animations from mixamo and I wrote my own controller for more functionality. The cartoon style is simple enough and there is a blank template to easily paint more.
I use them in my party game www.RaidersOfTheLostIsland.com and everyone loves them so far. They even dressed up thematically for the trailer ;)

This model set is perfect for everything I needed in my game.
Easy to use and modify.
Everyone that has demo'ed my game so far has raved about how cute the model is and loves the animations. (Especially the way he runs)
Just trying to figure out how to get decapitation to work cleaner in my game! Still giving a 5 star as his system works well in his demo pages. (Haven't figured out how to modify it for navmeshagents)
