This package is a shining example of modular characters done right. With a tonne of armors, weapons, and attachments, supporting female and male, it really is rock solid. I've read alot of reviews, and various issues with the package, but in general I would disagree with most of the claims. Yea, as with all synty packages, sometimes the naming convention isnt exactly ideal, however, theres a very good chance if you setup any custom system to actually use this asset at its potential, you will end up renaming and or categorizing many of the models prenamed pieces. Which brings me to the system to control and change the pieces of the model. Well, Synty is a model making company first and foremost. They do provide a very basic random character script of sort, but really, to create a system that allows you to flip the pieces around at runtime and create custom character/s is not that difficult. In fact, imo, in the big picture of what it takes to put a game together, this is some of the simpler 'coding' you could ever do. And lastly, works great in Standard and URP, and the materials, and customization options are again, only limited by your ability. Well done Synty, one of my favs so far.

The models in this pack are excellent — Synty always delivers in both quality and variety. With 15–30 interchangeable options for each body part, it’s easy to build a diverse and unique character library from these assets. My main disappointment is the lack of any built-in system for assembling characters. It’s surprising that such a robust library of modular parts doesn’t come with a streamlined way to piece them together to create prefabs of the characters. After searching online and checking their Discord, I eventually found a community-made GitHub tool designed for this pack, which solved the problem. Check out Battledrakes github if you're interested - it's free. If Synty included even a basic character assembly and color customization tool out of the box, I’d have no hesitation giving this a full 5 stars. Beyond that, I would still highly recommend this, alongside any other Synty assets.

Today I took the leap to level up my game with some decent assets, They looked awesome and impoterd alright without missing materials, but I spent the Entire day wondering why my weapons were dissapearing when using my wepon pick up system. After hours and hours of rebuilds and headaches I decided to scale the weapon up to 100x100x100..... It appeared. My systemn never broke. These Assets have scalling issues. Wish I seen these comments this morning. This has caused me so much grief. Buyer beware.

You can create so many combinations of wonderful fantasy characters, it's virtually limitless. As as this is a Synty asset, you can be assured it's top quality. They don't cut corners.

Quite good, a lot models and presets. BUT Please, do not name them as Chr_FantasyHero_Preset_77. It is almost impossible to find that one which I want to use. It looks like this: "here are 130 prefabs, and then figure out which is which, not my problem". Better to break them into categories: king, swordsman, archer, forester, etc., or at least indicate in the name who it is. No readme file. These moments make people spend extra time searching for objects and characters when they wanted to save time by buying an asset.

This is great work I Love your work it is great and I need to find out how to use it. There are a few things that make 5 starts. The rig in the blender is broken when you export it making you only able to anime it in Unity it ok but I would like to anime in Blender. My other problem is all the models are one obj I understand why you did it but I do not like it ok it's just a me thing try to change the skinned mesh to the prefabs you have in there the problem is the mesh is too big and dose not fit on the boin. I keep try it and It my grow on me only time will tell thank for the great work

Many of the UVs are mapped at the exact same point, so you won't be able to apply a texture or any shaders utilizing UV coordinates. I really wish they made the UVs mapped, just small, so if an artist wants to they can scale them up and apply textures or effects.

This asset is amazing, especially if you own other Synty assets, this asset works very well with Colorize and Palette fusion. Combined you can make endless character combinations very easily. Keep up the good work!

Great asset for a fantasy game. Looks perfect with both the Fantasy Kingdom and Dungeon packs. The modular approach means you can make a character selection screen or change the look of your character as they level up and wear new gear. A lot of fun to play with!
