MightyAnubisバージョン 1.1.1 で
Interesting. It's not bad, but also on the other hand really a question of the result.
The Schader can do a lot of different settings, that's the - for -.
The speaker passes, and the required textures for it, are the contra.
How does it work now ?
"Is it a realistic eye ?"
I think it depends on what kind of character you use. Let's take Daz as a base, and the eye texture brought by Daz - no -.
In general, converting a Daz eye to Unity is problematic. Normally the best way is to fade the corona, or go straight to transparent. The reason is simple: too much effort. Eyes in Daz , can also be gladly combined as materials, best in Blender. Now to represent a Daz eye, you would have to put all the materials in individual draw calls, with a 6 !!! Textures Schader split.
The result is then an immense computational effort for an eye. Add to that the required amount of textures, depending on their size. This fills the graphics memory well. If I let all this pass in review, and just go to Legacy Specular, equally just put a fade texture as an eye on Corona for a daz character, I have a 10x better, but above all much more natural result than with this, not exactly cheap Schader.
If my character should absolutely have wolf eyes, or glowing eyes, then the matter looks somewhat different. Here the Schader is worthwhile, and can fully play out its effects. Whether he scores with Illumation or Reflection, it depends.
The setting options are very many, but each also has its price.
Would I buy it again?
No. The effect doesn't really convince me enough.
Technique:
Is it handwritten in Schader Language, or created with an asset ? For me it looks like handmade, therefore +1 star in the overall rating, because it was not tinkered with in Schader graphs. Also no Amplify used. That scores.
Overall, you can recommend the Schader, depending on the question of effort.
It can technically be imported into Unity 2019 without any problems.
35 euros normal price ( PLUS TAX )
or 70 DM ( So old German currency )
are a hefty announcement. For the price I get a full price game without problems, a +A game in the sale.
Conclusion: everyone must decide for themselves.
What damage do I take in a project that pays attention to the best possible representation of authentic, real people ?
Legacy Specular + summary of the other individual materials of Daz, in rework of Blender.
Why ?
Because it simply looks much more realistic, than a shader that can scale and redraw various things, but would have to do this again for each individual character, with 6 textures, with immense computational effort as a bonus, and then add an illumination effect.
Is simply not purposeful in this sense.
I would also consider the schader maybe for manga girls. It all depends on your own goal with it.
However, I see him clearly in the fantasy area more at home than in an area that identifies with the most authentic real person representation.
For this reason, he is useless for me at the moment, but I keep him in any case under my assets, because he is not bad either.
For my project, however, he is as he is - worthless -.
Overall 4 stars because:
- many settings,
- can be useful for single eyes,
- is apparently written by hand, and not clicked together.
- Has some features that actually give leeway for the eyes.
If you like to have characters with shiny standout eyes for your game (e.g. weirwolves, vampires etc) that still look more realistic than "comic" like
YOU can get it! For this it is brilliant!
1 star lesser. to much money.
really it s ~ 15$ enugh. It s just a Schader, not a Game!
For -50% Sale, it s okay, but 17 is also hard on the limit, this are 20 including Tax ...

Really wish i knew if the way to use emmission textures for the glow. i convert eye textures from my vrchat avatars to work with your shader But never could figure out how to use a emmission texture or if its supposed to be packed in the base color or something.

To get the best possible results you should already have a solid idea about the light settings of your project. Once you have done that, and with a bit of tweaking, this asset provides wonderful results! Worth every penny.

I use imported DAZ characters, and one of the things that has always bothered me is the dull eyes that keep them from seeming as real as they should be. No more. With Eye Advanced, they are bright and alive. Very easy to setup and use with a number of customizations possible. I highly recommend this asset.

Wolfride did an amazing job describing how I feel about this asset. What I want to add is that I use it on every character, even NPC's. These eyes actually look they might have a soul. They even react to light by pupil dilation. Shine a spotlight into a characters eyes and it will react. That's awesome.
If you're reading this, you're probably looking for decent eyes for your character. Buy this or buy nothing.

The-Creature-Queen以前のバージョン 1.0.9 で
Breaking this down into parts. Support, ease of use, quality, hidden features. (Customization, creature and animal eye support, auto dilation of eyes.) And one piece of criticism.
Support:
Creature artist. I'm stingy about buying things and wait until I -need- it to continue, after trying as many different demos as possible. The demo wouldn't work on my browser, contacted Tanuki, had a windows deployment demo in a couple hours. Bought it the moment I saw the quality of the eyes!
Many assets on the store are simply old. The eyes weren't bad, it's just this is newer and from an experienced developer who went above and beyond to bring the current best eye aesthetic asset on the store. It's honestly worth way more than the current price, blows competition out of the water, but is nicely affordable for us indies! The developer receives feedback and continues to improve on this asset.
Ease of use:
Read the documentation linked above. It is as it says. If you've never once parented something to a bone before, maybe it'll take you a few minutes longer, but if you're familiar with rigging or make characters all the time, you drag and drop, resize, and done. Break the prefab instance, recolor, save new character prefab. No coding, no fuss, the included textures are AAA without changes, BUT- if you have a custom race or a creature, read on. I had these beautiful eyes working on mixamo characters in just a few minutes from purchase.
Quality:
Holy heck. You ever model an eye? You know how the pupil is basically an inverted cone, and the 'eye' is a glass sphere over THAT? This shader does this. (As much or as little as you want.) If you turn it to the side, you can see the dome, there is liquidyness like a real eye, and the upper shading (under the lid)- if you're a realism 2D artist, you will be ecstatic to see someone finally replicating this in 3D. It looks like a real eye and involves you.
If you're an animator, you're going to love how much more emotion you can put into close up scenes and character exchanges. And to have full control over the detail level of your textures makes this an essential.
Hidden Features:
Here's the criticism. There isn't documentation on how to create your own textures. The answer is open the included cat eye psd in photoshop, save it as your new eye texture in psd format in the location of the other Unity textures, paste in one of the existing eye textures, and tweak away. When you save, it'll magically be in Unity already. This works fantastically for animal/creature eyes.
I wasn't aware of the auto dilation of eyes, but if you drag and drop a light source (like a point light) the pupils automatically, without script or input, contract and expand based on the location of the source.
Thoughts on requested features:
I want more control over the color of the outer eye ring if possible- my main custom race has a distinct outer color bordering their irises. Even with custom textures, the outer edge fades. (Which is great in realism.) Emission would be great for predatory races. Just thoughts.

I love these eyes and have been using them for quite a while now.
However since the last update, Overall brightness slider doesn't seem to work?
I am using linear colour space, and the eyes seem a bit washed out.
They are great assets though.

Hi cgarossi, thank you for your positive rating and for taking the time to write a review! Send me an email about the Overall Brightness setting and I can give you an in-progress patch that fixes this for you. Regardless, this fix will be included with the next update. Thanks!

It's amazing how beautiful this make any character look. Even better how easy is to setup. I literally didn't have to change anything to my character eye mesh (not even UV) to get it working. This are by far the most realistic eye shader I have seen on the store.
