Its complete but no Rootmotion : -(

This asset is "ok" but there are some transform problems but they can be fixed in importsettings. The real sad thing is that there is no Rootmotion in the animations, menaing if you want to use rootmotion this is not for you or you have to script rootmotion in, which is a mad amount of work. Short version: For the price it should have root motion.

Thanks for the review, root motion is coming soon as well as some other goodies / tweaks and fixes. It is taking longer than I wanted, as life throws curve balls at you from time to time, but it is coming. So keep an eye out for this soon.

Aiming and shooting not retargetting correctly

Great collection of animations, but I too have issues with the aiming/shooting animations. The way the animations retarget leave the arms pointing too high up. If this was corrected this asset would be easily 5 stars. Looking forward to more from this publisher.

Something is wrong.

I love how many different animations are in here, but something is not going right between the animations and the characters I am using. When I am using the DH aims the left hand is in the complete wrong spot, its like it wants to aim at a 115degree angle upwards, and when I have the gun positioned properly the hand is pretending to hold the base of the gun at the very top. When I attempt to attach the humanoid 1.5 or 2.0 the animations completely stop working for the character. I am using this in conjunction with All stars characters, which has mecanim support. It is frustrating because no matter how I change the model of the character, it never lines up. I have also looked into modifying the animation to make the hands be in the correct placements. I wish you would of contacted me first as I am more than willing to look into and help you with the situation but I can not do that unless you e-mail me by clicking the support e-mail on the asset store product page. Nice, but I couldnt use them

You get a load of animations for the price. Unfortunately, I couldn't use them in my project. I am using Mixamo and Arteria3D characters with humanoid rigging. The aim animations placed the hands above eye level, which caused the weapon to be above the head. The Run animations are 20 frames, the Walk animations 30 frames, therefore you cannot blend between running and walking. If you have the time and the skill to edit these animations for your project, these would certainly be a good pack to get you started. IK could also be used to fix some of the hand position problems. The developer is friendly, but would not entertain any refund. He did try to help, but was unable to resolve issues. Before purchasing this asset, I read the reviews. I dismissed the few negative comments, thinking they were in the minority and must be wrong. Having now used the asset, I think they are spot on and I should have headed the warnings. Edit & Response to reply from publisher: As I said in original post, you are a nice guy and tried to help. However, your asset requires too much work to integrate into another project. To quote you "with some work and advanced experience you can get these to work" I wish the publisher all the best. However, I feel obliged to warn prospective customers that this asset will require a lot of work to integrate into your project. For example, if you want to blend animations, you will need to edit "FPS Character Animation pack" animations in another program for timing and foot synchronisation.

I am sorry that this did not work for you. However with some work and advanced experience you can get these to work no problem with you're game project. As you know every rig can be different and it is impossible to be 100% compatible with every rig out there. I have seen this used in many projects before sucsesfully with no problems. Soon I will release a MAJOR update on this project however I can not say as to how soon, but when it comes it will be epic. So please have patience. If you can not use it currently, maybe the update will allow u to use it in your next project. Anyway kind regards and best of luck with you're project.

This asset pack contains more than plenty of amazing animations, As some people have stated, it has amazing organization to find whatever you need quickly and without struggle, worth the price without a doubt, this pack quickly makes up for the money spent. 9/10 - AWESOME! :D keep it up!

Quantity over Quality

I respect that the developer went to such great lengths to create so many different animations. I mean, this has them all. Anything you'd need. Unfortunately, the animations are far from AAA quality. Most of the motions and positions are very unnatural. I'm not quite sure I'll be able to use any of them to be honest. For $50 that's pretty dissapointing. I wish that the developer would have provided a web preview so that I could have seen the quality before spending the money. Lesson learned.

I am sorry to hear that your not happy with your purchase as I strive to go above and beyond for my customers. I am planning on starting work on version 2.5 soon, I am still getting settled into my new country, so right now it is a little crazy! However 2.5 will have additional polish on the animations and a slew of other requests from customers. So in short I hope that 2.5 will be to your liking once released, and help you raise your star rating. Take care.

This pack is nearly complete, EXCEPT for some glaring omissions. For example, there's no Aim Up/Down/Left/Right. Since Mecanim's LookAt functionality doesn't handle this case at all, such animations are absolutely essential (not to mention you shouldn't do those with IK anyway, it's a waste of CPU cycles for something that can be done as a simple blend tree) I think the author should provide a demonstration of these assets actually in use. Not for customers to use as an example, but just so he/she knows exactly what animations are needed and get an idea of how the whole thing would actually be used.

Large amount of animations

The amount of animations provided by this pack is excellent nearly everything that is required for a shooter game. The only issue i have is some of the animations dont look quite right and they don't have root motion for mecanim.

Hello and thanks for your support and feedback, it is always welcomed. Just a couple things to note, firstly version 2.0 of this pack is almost ready which improves the pack greatly as well as add some addition goodness, and as always is free for current customers such as yourself. In respects to Root motion, you do not need root motion on key framed game animations, root motion occurs in motion capture data mainly, which drives the character away from the 0,0,0 axis. This is why Mecanim offers the ability to animate in place which is what you want for this kind of animation pack, as a character controller is what drives your character where you need him to go, playing the matching animations to fit the motion.
