My go to Skybox Asset

There are some decent skies here. Mostly the sunset ones. The night time ones aren't very good at all, but the real problem is that they all have suns and moons baked into them. I'm not sure why people that make skyboxes think this is a good idea. At least create a version with and without. It seriously limits what these can be used for. You certainly can't use them for any real project if they have suns/moons baked in, and it's too difficult to remove them.

It worked with Unity 6.3LTS, and URP, right after importing, with no render pipeline conversion needed. The skyboxes come in 24+ catagories, each with a demo scene. There is a customer support email. 5 stars! There is a lot to work with. It's several $20 assets, rolled into one.

At first, I could not find the equirectangular equivalent or panoramic in a texture format? If I look on disk (o/s unity), I see the image files, which is great. In Unity, I think I think I see the image as a material and that confuses me.

Lots of skyboxes for every style, from realistic to epic fantasy to cartoony and anime. Good documentation, easy to work with, well prepared and organized. I recommend this asset.

The resolution is far too low to use as a clean high resolution backdrop. The bitmaps are stretched across your view, so even if they are 2k, the effective resolution is probably 1/8th of that. So, they are grainy and not clean on a 4k display. I guess it is better to generate with Enviro or SkyMaster unless there exists a 16k or better competitor. If you are using it for lower resolutions, or simple backdrops and don't need high fidelity, then I can see how this would be just fine. It is packaged well. Just another example of why you should never buy anything on the asset store without first being able to demo it yourself since they do not give refunds. There is a free version, so kudos to the author for that, but I didn't see it somehow before purchasing.

The amount of content you're getting from this pack for this price is absolutely insane. The skies are beautiful and you're overwhelmed with choice. You'd think they'd have an effect on performance with how good they look but surprisingly there isn't any hit to performance. They're also organised and labelled extremely well, so it wasn't a hassle to look through the 220 or so skyboxes.

This asset pack contains a variety of high-quality skyboxes, ready to use. At this price, I can't see a reason not to pick this up. I can highly recommend it.

I had hoped for all the skies to be of the same high quality, unfortunately they differ significantly.
