A great asset

This is a great asset and I plan on using it in my game, but I've been encountering a problem with the intersections on HDRP. There is a very noticeable texture seam where the roads connect to the intersections regardless of road type and the sidewalks don't line up with them either. I've tested this on a new empty HDRP project just to confirm it wasn't caused by something else. Other than that it works fine, I cant say if my issue occurs on the other pipelines or not but I will continue to use this asset and try to find a solution to that problem and update this review. Side note: If Unity crashes when your using this, I found that switching your project to only use DirectX 11 temporarily while you are laying out your roads solves that problem. Update: Excellent customer service. After contacting them through their email, it was clear that the seam is normal and that there is a feature that lets you hide it using decals. You just have to add a start/end decal to the road types which is included with the asset. A small mistake on my part but hopefully this review helps someone else that may overlook this feature like I did. And as for Unity crashing, disabling all the highlight settings under the EasyRoads scene settings solves the problem on Unity (6000.3.6f1). I'm bumping this review from 4 stars to 5 because it deserves it. Thanks for creating an awesome asset.

Could you contact us (our email is for example in the various readme files in the EasyRoads3D folder) and send a screenshot of the seam that you see between roads and and intersections. I am asking that because the road types in this package have a setup with various decal prefabs. One of these decal prefabs will be positioned at the position where the road connects with the intersection. This is to hide possible seams. Regarding the sidewalks, are more extreme angles involved? Just to know what this looks like so we can feedback or improve this, would it be possible to send a screenshot of this too? Finally, which Unity version do you use? The DirectX 11 comment sounds like something that could happen in early Unity 6 releases. It is fixed in, I belief, Unity 6.3. It was Unity handles related, specifically the terrain related surfaces (Unity's Handles.DrawSolidRectangleWithOutline) that are visible for the selected road (which can be switched off). Great HD road add-on for EasyRoads3D Pro

Great HD road add-on for EasyRoads3D Pro . Import worked fine in Unity 6 URP, And the road types appeared correctly inside the Road Network menu. I've tested creating roads, Switching presets, And deleting test roads, And everything worked well . The pack includes many useful asphalt, Concrete, Cobble, Dirty, Damaged, Sidewalk, Crossing, And decal options . Very useful for open-world city map creation.

The asset is greate but i am having so many issues with the materials in urp. I tried converting them but still shows pink and secondly if i try to add connections i get this error EasyRoads3Dv3: The selected connection prefab could not be attached UnityEngine.Debug:LogError (object) EasyRoads3Dv3Editor.ODCOOQDQOO:ODDDDQDDQC for contect am using easyroad pro and am using urp

Hi JAMEzon, Thank you for rating the asset. Could you please contact us with support questions, our email is in the readme file in the EasyRoads3D root directory. It will be easier to communicate and resolve issues. Regarding the pink materials, how were the materials converted? Just in case, the Unity Render Pipeline Conversion tool can only convert Unity built-in shaders. For both URP and HDRP version specific material packages are available in /Assets/Naturemanufacture Assets/HD Roads/SRP Support/. Is the respective package imported in your project? Regarding the connection issue, which road types an connections are involved? The shape (vertex node setup) of the two connections must match in order to connect the two. All HD Roads road types and intersection prefabs should connect without issues unless the road type setup was changed in a way that the shapes no longer match. When the shapes do not match for example I Connectors can be used as a quick way to connect roads with different shapes. Thanks, Raoul

[Update] You mention URP 16.0.5, the error is thrown in 'NatureManufacture Shaders/HD SRP Cross Road Material', this shader is for HDRP. Which packages do you have imported? Regarding the build error, it points to 'Universal Render Pipeline/Lit', this is a Unity built-in shader, it is not a shader part of the EasyRoads3D Pro Add On - HD Roads package. Could you please contact us directly for support questions with full details instead of posting them here in the review section? That way it will be easier to provide support. Hi Afterworldstudios-3D, The Naturemanfacture Team created the package for EasyRoads3D, especially with regard to the intersection / connection prefabs. We are maintaining it to keep on supporting new Unity versions, especially with regard to URP and HDRP. So the package is still 100% supported and working in new Unity versions. Thanks, Raoul
