I'm pretty new to Unity and it's been a long time since I wanted to try it for a tactics game idea, using tiles in 2D. These are simply great, the fact that the palette is already made and included and even has instructions to make it easier to pick the tiles is just awesome. It can get tricky sometimes but that's because I'm not used to work with the engine, even though, GoldenSkull has responden to all of my questions in a direct message from Discord, and believe me when I say, it wasn't short reply at all. The support Max brings to the table is amazing, it makes me feel less worried about the big question sometimes floats around my head: will I be capable of pulling this off? Well, I know now it's just a matter of commitment and time, help and knowledge is provided by GS on request. The art is just what I had in mind for my game, fell in love with these as soon as I found them in the asset store and they look great in the maps I've been working on already. BUYT THIS, you won't be dissapointed.

This is a great asset, honestly probably the best isometric tileset you're gonna get, especially for the price, imo. The way it's made by the artist makes it extremely easy to make maps that look nice and flow together seamlessly. You wont regret the purchase. The Artist Golden Skull is also fantastic at helping solve any issues you may have, great support from him and his Discord server.

Had a blast playing around with this. I do have a question though, as I also purchased your isometric foliage pack. I don't seem to be able to use the starter pack and the foliage pack together, the foliage tiles would just be beneath or on the same base level as the map tiles. I'm rather new to this, is there a way for the foliage to be placed on TOP of the map tiles in this package? Like how a normal tree would be placed on the ground? Thanks

High-quality asset for a very low price. The tiles work great in Tilemap with minimal setup, and the artist has an active Discord channel for questions and is very active and responsive. Golden Skull also is continuing to put out content that matches this set. Absolutely great value and a must-buy.

The art is really nice and the quantity of content you get for the price is awesome. I was kind of hesitant to go the isometric route because I thought the movement and programming would be a pain. But there's even a movement script included and I couldn't believe how simple it is. As a complete beginner, I had the tiles sorting correctly and a player moving around on them with the correct basic collisions within an hour of downloading this. You have a new customer!

I've returned to Unity this week as I was looking for a starting point to make a top down game. I'm starting right from the bottom of game making using Unity after using another program for a game I finished. Working in isometric is really great. I took a leap of faith, and did not expect much and in return, but the basic elements are here and you can really make great progress as you learn to map in an isometric view. I received lots of help for setting up a 2-D project from the developer who is active on their Discord. The hardwork gone in does really show in the assets and I have purchased a few other packs from the developer and really hope anyone looking in to 2.5D / isometric game assets will purchase this package. You'll still need more stuff such as trees and stuff to put down on your maps, these can be purchased separately and would really be needed for a good animated scene.

To all the people that bought this and are trying to use it with the new grid system that Unity made. What you have to do is measure the top half of the asset from top vertex to bottom (of the top) vertex. That will be your y value for the grid. The X value will remain the same. The value I got was X=1, and Y=.5152. Thanks again for the asset!

The quality is good, but I wish that the lava or more important the water would have also a animation. For example it is not possible to create a nice looking river or waterfall with it. it can only be used to a limited extent....
