Beautify is a full-screen image post processing effect that improves the image quality in real time producing incredibly crisp and vivid scenes.

In addition to the unique image enhancement algorithm, Beautify also includes 20 advanced, high-quality effects with unique options to make your scenes even more immersive. All these additional effects are carefully engineered for performance and correctly integrated in the same render pass for superior performance.

Beautify 3 includes new antialiasing and cinematic effects as well as many new options and improvements to bloom, anamorphic flares, outline, chromatic aberration and depth of field. Check full list of current additions and improvements here.

• Bloom. Beautiful and smooth glow effect with many customization options including the ability to apply bloom to specific objects, attenuate it based on depth, customize each bloom step with custom colors, spread, intensity, ...

• Advanced Outline. Adds a colored border to all objects for a stylized look. The edge detection algorithm combines techniques providing different controls based on depth, normal and color information or the most advanced method based on a per-object-id fast pass compatible with SRP Batcher which ensures robust outlines around objects. Extra options include the ability to downsample, apply multiple blur passes and even limit the outline to specific objects by layer or based on distance to camera.

• Depth of Field with Bokeh. A genuine photographic effect, smoothly blurs the image based on distance to focus point with autofocus and hexagonal highlights options. Supports transparent objects and exclusion layers. Includes many advanced options like foreground blur, autofocus, custom focus distance, target follow, physical units, etc.

• Sun Lens Flares. Fast GPU flares with diffraction ghosts, aberration, halo and animated Sun rays with automatic and smooth occlusion.

• Purkinje. Simulates physical retina achromatic vision plus blue spectrum shift in dark environments. Control the speed and threshold of the effect shift which happens automatically based on screen luminance.

• Antialising. Smoothes jagged edges. Simple but very fast edge/normal based antialias option as it runs in same render pass.

• Chromatic Aberration or chromatic distortion, simulates light rays passing through a lens focus at different points, depending on their wavelength.

• Daltonize. Intensifies pure red, green and blue basic colors procedurally.

• Cinematic Bands. Integrated, fast and customizable black bars to give an even more cinematic look to your scenes. Control all aspects and gradient syle for the bands.

• Film Grain. Integrated, procedural film grain with a stable, non-flickering appearance. Includes optional cinematic artifacts such as dirt spots and vertical scratches.

• Anamorphic Flares. Also known as JJ Abrams flares, they add a truly cinematic touch to your scene.

• ACES/AGX Tonemapping. Uses a fast ACES (Academy Color Encoding System) transform to convert from HDR color space into LDR at the optimal stage within Beautify effect chain. As a bonus, Beautify includes a variation of ACES (ACES Fitted) and the newest/popular AGX, under MIT license.

• LUT Color Transformation. Apply your favourite 2D or 3D LUT (Look-Up Textures). Includes a LUT browser that works with the optional LUT Pack for Beautify. Includes option to import 3D .CUBE format.

• Lens Dirt. Spreads the light on the screen when looking to bright sources according to different customizable patterns and spread ratios.

• Eye Adaptation. Reproduces retina reaction (auto-exposure) to quick changes in scene luminance with separate options for light and dark adaptation. Custom metering options like depth or mask included.

• Vignetting. Darkens image corners with intensity, color and mask options plus extra effects such as masking, Fade Out and Blink effects, great for cool transitions and immersive eye effects.

• Frame. Add any colored or texture-based rectangular frame. Includes a Frame browser which let you explore the matte and artistic frames included in the Frame Pack.

• Night Vision. Visualize objects in the scene in the dark. Includes noise and scan lines.

• Thermal Vision. Uses a red-blue spectrum to highlight warm and cold colors. Also adds scan lines, noise and a subtle screen distortion.

• Pixelate. Create a retro pixelated effect.

• Creative Blur. Add a blur effect with customizable intensity with 3 different styles: tilt shift, radial blur or screen blur with mask and desaturation options.
