Add GameObject > AbilitySource to the property dropdown of GC2 actions. Allows to use formulas with projectiles and explosion and to target the right source.

Note: the current version of GC2 has an issue with gestures. It seems that when animation speed is faster then 1, the animation is cut short causing problems with the abilities. This will be fixed by GC2 in the near future.
