Bug Fixes

Fixed engine braking being completely disabled above 50 km/h due to overtorque check incorrectly zeroing out negative (braking) torque
Fixed reverse gear producing no torque because the reverse gear detection was checking gear ratio sign instead of actual gear state
Fixed drivetrain speed and RPM calculations using averaged wheel radius across all wheels instead of per wheel values through each differential, causing incorrect speed readings on vehicles with mixed wheel sizes or multi-differential setups
Fixed final drive ratio dividing by total differential count instead of active count, producing wrong ratios when some differentials were disabled
Reworked ESP reference steering to anchor on the realized front axle angle (frontAxle.steerAngle) so counter-steer, steering limiter, and speed curves feed back into ESP’s target yaw, preventing normal corrective steering from being reclassified as over or understeer
Fixed auto-generated torque curve using unrealistic values (70% at idle, 85% at redline) that made all engines feel identical
Fixed wheel slip filters being frame-rate dependent, causing different tire behavior at different frame rates
Fixed wheel damping rate snapping instantly between full and zero at 100 Nm motor torque threshold
Fixed UI event registration leak where destroyed Canvas kept a stale reference in the Scene Manager
Fixed gearbox UI dropdown subscribing to events in Awake/OnDestroy instead of OnEnable/OnDisable, causing missed updates when switching vehicles
Fixed Pipeline Converter searching across all loaded scenes instead of only the target scene during HDRP conversion, and missing progress bars during long operations

Fixed ESP dashboard icon flickering during normal driving by gating the public engagement flag on actual brake torque output with asymmetric on/off debounce
Fixed wheel damping snapping to zero under motor torque, letting Unity’s Euler-integration stability tool disappear exactly when torque is highest; now clamped to a 50% floor
Fixed Recorder capturing realized axle inputs instead of the post-processed player snapshot, which double-applied brake, handbrake, and steering multipliers on playback for any vehicle with non-default tuning; replays now reproduce the original drive exactly
Fixed realized vehicle inputs (steerInput_V, brakeInput_V, handbrakeInput_V) being verbatim copies of the player request instead of actual axle state; they now derive from the slewed wheel angle and produced brake/handbrake torque, which also revives the angular-drag helper branch that eases drag when the physical wheel lags rapid driver input
Fixed damage repair zones requiring a second collision to work after a teleport because RCCP_Damage.Reload() reset the repaired flag while the mesh was still deformed; only in-progress flags are now reset and the result flags follow actual mesh state

API Changes

Split RCCP_Stability.ESPEngaged into two public flags: ESPEngaged now exposes the raw per-frame intervention state (mirrors the internal engagement), while the new ESPIndicatorEngaged drives the dashboard light with brake-torque threshold gating and asymmetric hold-time debounce.

Migration: if your UI or gameplay code used ESPEngaged to light a dashboard icon, switch to ESPIndicatorEngaged to avoid flicker during micro-corrections.

ESP upgraded to a physics-based yaw-rate bicycle model with understeer gradient, sideslip angle estimation, PD control with hysteresis, and a first-order lag on the reference yaw rate for realistic electronic stability control
Added ESP Mode selector (Normal / Sport) — Sport widens thresholds and disables engine cut for sportier, less-intrusive correction
Added Preserve Speed Factor for ESP — arcade option (0–1) that reapplies forward force equal to the ESP brake force so corrective yaw still works without bleeding speed through the turn
Added ESP real-time telemetry fields (yaw rate target/actual/error, sideslip angle and rate, active wheel, oversteer flag) exposed in the Stability inspector and Scene Tools overlay
